why are we all wasting money on TTY head bolts?

Are all the head bolts they re use TTY? I thought the bolts physically stretch. I guess if it doesn't snap when re-torqued you may be all right.....???? I like the stud idea better anyhow.

    Fuel Gauge

However, you are correct and I am wrong. My truck is possesed. The first page of my own thread verifies that OPEN is full, and grounded is empty. My truck is just screwed up here...

    Fuel Gauge

Sorry for the bad advice. I have the dual tank module, and I know for a fact that I have my purple wire grounded to my frame to make my factory gauge read 3/4 tank (FULL SIDE) without it grounded it would read beyond empty. Perhaps the dual tanks w/balance modules are different, or perhaps...

HID BACK UP LIGHTS FOR 88 & UP Chevy GMC

Leroy these may be extremely useful to the Plowing crowd. I'd push marketing there a little. We love to see whats behind us when we back up fast and often. I'm going to mention this to a guy on my plow route that has a 02 D-Max, I think he asked me about brighter bulbs before. I have Utility...

OK who got the best price on stock replacement injectors for my 94 6.5t and does napa

EBAY for injector return lines and copper inj washers. Some inj's come with teh copper crush washers, some don't. I have 8 INJ's from Rockauto work great, and got the injector kit (return lines and washers) from ebay for about 25 beans I think.

    The "restification" of a 98 6.5 TD...

Just unplug the unit. It sucks and its dangerous if you have a brake line fail in the rear the abs will cause ZERO brakes and you'll crash. Been there, did that, slammed my buddies F-550 box truck doing about 30mph. Never again.

Well, I stepped up to the plate and look what happened...........yet another project.

the 90's era GM trucks are a perfect mix of truck and ride. The older ones are a bit too much truck, the newer ones are a bit too little.

    Service Throttle Soon and codes....

I had a terrible problem after changing my FSU. It was fine in the summer until it got cold. TUrns out the replacement FSU had a GASOLINE sock on it, and didn't have the flap for the cold diesel fuel to get through. Reeked havoc all winter long. I had to blow air into the tank via LP inlet...

Glowtime? Duraterms vs. the old 9G's

I have 60g's also, only changed the easy 4. I could use an entire overhoul including the wires and harnesses that the vender here makes nicey nice. Summer job. She starts fine, ugly, but easy. After all its a diesel, i always thought it was supposed to be a loud and ugly start unless its...

Well, I stepped up to the plate and look what happened...........yet another project.

How does it drive compared to the 88 Gasser? And compared to the 07 Dmax? As far as the modding comment whatever you buy is gonna get modded, be it a 5k$ truck or a 25$k truck... Mod away. :)

    1992 gmc 3500 build thread

Despite what the gauge reads, or read, anything over 210 isn't good for the 6.5... :( Should probably have the block checked for warpage and or cracks. Once again so sorry to hear about this. Everyone is alright, nobody died, thats what you paid all that insurance money for. Don't get taken...

Feed the Beast Fittings and Kit available now!

I used a barbed brass T that I put together from Home Depot plumbing parts. A hose clamp on each barb. Put the T in between the Fuel filter manager and the injection pump.

starting a cool conversion....6.2l/6.5l hybrid swap into a 1993 dodge short box

WTF... I hope the Ins company comes through good. Wow man... Sorry to hear. That sucks man. Is that your business Garage in your avatar that burned?

Feed your diesel 6.5 addiction here burbmania on fleasbay!

To each their own, I would never buy a truck without a plow :) A Burb or Tahoe on the other hand I would. That Plow is WAY too much beef for that rig. I'm guessing someone had that plow to sell and kept the nicer 8' plow that went with that truck. That little tailgate sander is cute too...

Early Christmas present. Some assembly required. Batteries included. (95 burb engine)

If there was a coating and it came off it should clog the injector in a hurry, you'd think you'd hear more about this if it were true. Good points Bison.

    Fuel Gauge

To the best of my knowledge: It PEGS full when the Sending unit wire is grounded out. When its unplugged it should go to the empty side.
