Yep, I always take 2-3 paper towels and create a little 'nest' for the ice-coffee cup (Re-used everyday of course). The splashes get caught by the paper towels, most of them anyhow.
Of course there is the also well trained hand, that lifts the cup up when rough roads or bumpy spots are about...
So if you have a stall speed of 1500 rpm, the transmission wont start transferrring power to the drivetrain until the engine is at 1500rpm?
Thus a 2800rpm Stall high performance race converter lets the engine get up to 2800rpm (possible HP peak range) before power begins to go to the rear wheels?
I ponder these things often while driving -
Boost, is almost like planning for the future, you Spend energy NOW to prepare for the future fuel injection cycles being more.
However, To create MORE boost at any given point you are taking energy (power) from from the engine at the PRESENT moment...
I re-did head 2 years and 27k miles ago (just the DS side BTW).
I bought 17 new TTY bolts, I think they were FelPro, but could have been ARP, I remember it was a good name.........anyhow I never re-tourqued them after warmup or after 500 miles..
Its probably good practice, but as mentioned...
I have super rusted out internal doors, and its going to be an issue. It may be what ends up killing this truck. My PS window guts are all messed up, and the door doesn't open from the inside. I'm sure its just the Zbar fell off, but window falls off track, and I really dont' want to deal with...
Looks nice!!! Thats a truck I would welcome to my fleet!!! Would need a plow of course!
Looks fantastic!
As mentioned, those running boards hold salt, so hose em down whenever you can after storms.
ITs about time you boys get to feel our pain!!!! Now picture your backyards with 3-4' of frozen snow, and trenches everywhere to get to the mailbox and the shed. Its like we all live on the moon, and had to carve ourselves out a spot to live in! The downside is 2 lane roads are down to 1 and a...
You can JAM as much air into the chamber as possible without any negative effect, except for the power taxed and heat generated to create the charged air. (Turbo Boost)
If you have too much fuel, you belch black smoke.
Kind of why TURBO's found their way into diesel engines mainstream faster...
Always a great time to have a fuel pressure gauge.
I had a walbro fail on me a few months in and would probably have never noticed if I didn't have the gauge.
I'd go with the 235/85 pizza cutters are as tall as possible and thin. Like a 31, just narrow. Much better for snow, and they are a dime a dozen. They will fit without lift. Anything wider at that hight may rub when turned stock shape.
