I had a 27ft Fleetwood TT and now have a 32Ft Outback TT. Never had any problems with either one. The smaller trailer was pulled mostly with 1/2 ton trucks with a simple weight distributing hitch with a friction sway control, the Outback has a Reese dual cam setup. My 16 Y/o son drove it on I-75...
2nd the advice on the vac leak. Start looking for loose or missing lines, anything cracked etc. Thats the easy stuff, next step is to see if it has any codes stored and track those down.
way too many red flags on this truck, some little things and some that they tried to explain away with stories that didnt make any sense. I didnt spend much time on the truck since it really wasnt worth fixing all the potential problems as any price.
Thanks again

My son wants to go look at an 86 GMC with a 6.2 in it. I have no experience with the 6.2 other than driving them at work in years past. What are the major points to look for when I go to see this truck?
Thanks

52,000 trouble free miles, many towing my 9000# travel trailer. Fixed the hot running by replacing the exhaust with a 4" no cat setup, Tx cold air duct kit and a LBZ turbo mouthpiece. The ISS was replaced once and then after that I installed the grease fitting in it and throw a few pumps in...
Hell, they dont keep anyone in mind. The last thing the engineers care about is anyone other than themselves. Somebody has to fix it eventually, either you or someone you pay.
I have had a Hypertech on my 05 for at least a couple of years. My main goal was mileage and drivability for towing, it fits my needs very well, plus I can unload the program and restore it fairly quickly if I need to have it serviced.
We use the green stripe belts from NAPA with good luck, we used to use only Goodyear gatorbacks but I was told that Goodyear sold that division off over a year ago and they are now being made offshore somewhere.
The one I am looking at is stainless but yours answers my question. What I couldnt find outwas if the vertical pieces flared out at the top on this model truck, apparently they do.
Thanks

I am looking at a Westin push bar for my 05 Chevy 2500HD, does anyone have pics of an Xtreme push bar on an 05 or 06 ? specifically part # 36-5120 ?
Thanks

Hard to beat a Wagner set of pads.
Check on the rotor size for the police pkg, if you are leaning that way, It may be different.
Make sure the new pads dont bind when you install them, its important for these brakes to move freely. I typically wire wheel the stainless clips and reuse...
I thought the high TBN was less relevant because of ULSD and that the CJ-4 was superior in all cases, DPF or not. My understanding was that viscosity breakdown was more important to watch in analysis?
The wires are pretty fragile, I replaced my last one with an XM antenna I got off of E-bay for less than $10, both are compatible and for some reason the XM units are usually cheaper.
