    Best coolant for 1996 GM 6.5L

    I have a '96 Hummer with the GM 6.5 TD. Coolant has turned a reddish/rust color so I'm going to do a flush. What coolant is the latest and greatest for this engine? And to do the flush do I need to use any flushing liquid or just distilled water? Thanks for any advice.

    best place to get Stanadyne grey FSD?

    Just wonder who is selling the most reliable FSDs these days. My 1996 Hummer has the 6.5TD and a grey Stanadyne FSD like this one from A1Customs. https://www.a1customs.com/pmd-fsd-resistor-stanadyne.htm Is that a reputable vendor? Is there someone else you'd prefer to buy from? Thanks.

    replaced lift pump and doing bleeding procedure...

    I've replaced my lift pump with an ACDelco EP158. Hooked everything back up, installed new fuel filter, attached hose to vent on cap, unscrewed vent 1/2 or so. Now I'm turning my key to run and listening to the pump cycle. It does and glow plugs cycle too. I have keyed up many, many times now...

    I've had this Carter pump from Napa sitting around for a while now as a backup. Is this any good as a long term fuel pump?

    Engine RPMs revving while driving

    Noticed recently that my truck (1996 AM General Hummer with GM 6.5 TD) would sporadically rev its engine just a bit while idling. Took it for a spin and once while slowing down from 50MPH or so to take a turn the engine revved while I was off the throttle. I've had a failing crank position...
