I went with a piece of punch-steel with little O's in it that are close together from Home Depot and mounted the lightbulb behind it to open the whole thing up. Then at Tim's urging I put in a plastic divertor in case water gets in. (Cuz we get so much in the high desert) :smilielol5:
You can put a resistor where the were.. let me dig around to find what resistance value I used before the Heath prom got installed. I got out a potentiometer and dialed around until the CEL went out. :ihih:
I saw you replaced the harness. I can tell ya that sounds like a broken wire in the EGR solenoid harness just like I had. It drove me (more) nuts. Does it stumble like a miss when this happens? If you look at the plans, the solenoids are right on the +voltage line to the PCM so anything weird...

If I remember correctly, late 1999/early 2000 was when the Navistar blocks started winding up in our trucks. Most of our fleet of our 1999 6.5s here at the county are Navs.
