Guys,
Sorry I didn't post it today. I was at work from 12:30 AM this morning, I just got home for some dinner and the wife is out with the truck. I will grab it as soon as I can. It's been a BAD day...
Here is what I did to fix my APP problems...
1. Go to your nearest electronics supply house and purchase a can of DEOXIT contact cleaner.
2. In the side of the APP, *CAREFULLY* drill a 1/8" hole
3. Liberally spray deoxit cleaner in the hole while working the pedal.
4. Wait 15 minutes and...
Definitely use all the 1993's accessories. IIRC, the 93 will have a transmission controller if you have an auto trans. You should have no problems. Enjoy!
Check your grounds and then check where the transmission harness goes into the tranny. It can get bad chafing on the cables over the years.
Also unplug and re-plug in your connectors on the ECM.
I have the BeCool kit from fleabay, but I modified it to work off of IAT and boost pressure thanks to some prodding from GMCTD. I use it with no more than 10% meth in the mix and a 14 gallon tank which gets me more than a month not towing, and about 1000 miles of flat towing.
Nice work! If you really want to move more air in that thing, replace the turn signal lamp with expanded metal and paint it yellow so that the light bulb still works, just doesn't have a reflector. That will let it get lots more cold air.
