It appears as if this is a fuel supply issue. I would guess dirty fuel filter, snotty tank sock, or lift pump. Can you post the results of section 2 of the check list please?
You are only getting 5-6 lbs boost going up a hill?? I had that problem and I called Bill Heath who told me to set for 13 or so PSI, and it really helped, I don't peg the EGT's anymore.
Thanks Goldsburg, I noticed that too. I got Northern Group 34s top connections. The N1's had both so I had an easy way to hook up the #2 wire that feeds the ham radio station :smile5:
I had 2 of the 1000 CCA WalMart Everstart Maxx N1's that I bought on 3/25/05 for $64 each. The main reason I bought them was WalMart is where she died and I was recovering from a divorce (read: ramen poor).
Yesterday, they died. Called WalMart to ask them to test them, which they did. 1...
Nick, when I have to use windows, I use Avira AntiVir and for the ad/malware scanning I use A-Squared free by EMSIsoft GMBH.

Tim and or Justin,
I rebuilt my GM-4 after getting your GM-8 and it's good to go. Justin can have it if he needs it. It's just sitting here in the box you sent the GM-8 to me in.
I saw this as Tim answered his cell phone. They have the valve covers off and they are going to look at the bottom end of the engine since there is a ton of sludge. I told him being on the West coast and a night owl, I am gonna be up till 2am or so my time, and to feel free to call me with updates.
I have had several S-10's.. 2.2, diesel, 2.8, and the 3.1. They all crack. Drill the ends of the crack with a 1/8 inch drill bit to stop the cracking, then fill it with FS2.. or JB weld, but you will replace the JB every few months.
Everyone is welcome, I apologize for the wait. I have been the on-call this week and we have so much crap raining from the sky in both the network and regional radio network world it has been a challenge to even log on!
REMEMBER!! USE A DRILL STOP!! DON'T DRILL THIS WITHOUT ONE!
3/16 inch...
OKAY OKAY!! I just WISH I could go into how rough this week has been...
:nono::D
Here it is.... Now, use a drill bit with a stopper on it set to about 3/16 so you don't hose the resistors.
All kidding aside, DTR is all about Diesels, sure we all have our faves, and in this section, it's usually a 6.5, even the Duramax guys stop by to relish on when they had theirs....
I have driven a Duramax for work, it's now gone.. get stranded 160 miles from home on a mountaintop with it...
