    Turbo ID

Hey guys just picked up two turbos, one off of a CAT 3116 and another off a mack truck. The CAT turbo looks like it was built by CAT and has a split t3 or t4 flange, anyhow the one Im having trouble finding info on is the Airesearch turbo off of the mack. It has a split flange which i think is a...

    Hummer/military headers

Well turbonator by a lot of work I thought you meant some bending and maybe one or two cuts. The headers "bow" away from the engine so much that there is no way of even getting the drivers side one in place until it is hacked up a lot. So I just figured not to mess with it as I don't wanna deal...

    Injector Nozzles

I was mostly worried about timing, I was wrong stock 6.5 pop pressure is 2100 so bumping up to 3200 would be 1100 psi increase, Hmm I feel like this will adjust my timing a bunch. When do you plan to re power cumminsfever? maybe Ill buy your injectors lol

    Injector Nozzles

Okay nice! I have my pump advanced right now and turned up which also advances it a little and im at 2800 psi I think (whatever stock 6.5 pop is) and the 6.2 pump is supposed to have 1,800 psi injectors IIRC. Did you have any hot start issues like 6.2 turbo? 6.2 turbo Did you notice a power...

A discussion on the "why" of intercoolers.

I have gauges everything besides a tach ha i just don't care to have one. 20mpg at 82mph?! get like an hx 52 for that lol

A discussion on the "why" of intercoolers.

I agree if they ever come up they always end without any positive feedback. I can't tell you what its like with rpm range because I don't have a tach but I can tell you it probably spools just as quick as a gm-8 because the exhaust housing constricts to a small size (smaller then the gm-8) then...

    Injector Nozzles

So cumminsfever do you think it was the 3200 psi or the marine injectors or both that helped the power? I have always thought about going up in psi, I was only thinking maybe 500 Psi but maybe Ill set mine up 1000 Psi more. using stock 6.5 Turbo injectors and a 6.2 pump Idk If the pump will be...

    Hummer/military headers

In my opinion the headers will flow much better, the drivers side one has perfectly matched ports and the passenger one I got has welds on the inside which would need ground down. Already have the paint! I have used the high temp many times its great. I haven't wrapped the cross over or...

    Hummer/military headers

ha i found that out the hard way.... I am currently selling some intake runners. The headers I was going to keep and modify the drivers side and leave the turbo side alone. It looks like if I bolt the hummer header to the head and use lots of heat and a long bar I'll be able to make it work or...

A discussion on the "why" of intercoolers.

Great info! Now lets say turbo psi is 10, when you add the intercooler the charge air drops in temp and density increases and pressure tends to drop also. Does more density put more strain the on the engine? such as the bottom end? If you calculate it like you have been adding the atmosphere...

    Hummer/military headers

alright thanks! did they use them on the military pick ups or not? Well I did a little more searching and found someone who used them on a 6.2 N/A "over there"

Pop pressure of old 6.2 injectors vs. 6.5 turbo related to timing?

I know I'm pulling this out of the graveyard but I had the same thought as Buddy but how much of an increase in power would there be? The Duramax uses around 23,000 psi common rail if I recall right. What about increasing injector pop pressure to 3,000 psi and timing the engine to the correct...

    Hummer/military headers

Do the 6.2 hummer headers fit in the frame of an 82 chevy? They look like they come out farther before the bend. Im thinking about buying a set and using the drivers side and maybe using the passenger side from the hummer to make a mandrel bent header for the turbo manifold. Also has anyone...

Water in Fuel Light (being really tough to fix)

yeah after i had posted i was looking around a little more, the green wire is the ground the pink wire with a black stripe is the fuel level indicator and there was 2 yellow wires that were cut short and tapped up to the sending unit wire which makes me think they have grounded out somewhere? as...

Water in Fuel Light (being really tough to fix)

So im still a little confused I pulled that pink wire off and the green wire which should be the fuel sending wire is still on the sending unit, but when i switch my right tank on the the fuel level goes wayy full. So I need to know what color wires should be for the water in fuel and how they...
