Common knowledge, but thought I might remind, start bleeding with the caliper(or wheel cylinder) furthest from the master cylinder. Right rear on ours I believe.
Have you diagnosed the problem with the 4L80e? Could be something simple like a bad sensor. Seems a shame to swap out a tranny over a $40.00 part, if thats all it is. Unless you really just want a manual tranny. An NV4500 is a nice one.
AFAIK, All the overdrive trannys have either a .73 or...
Nope, not gonna tell ya that. Nonetheless, all three fails occured AFTER reaching operating temp. Perhaps it took a bit of driving to get the wire to vibrate up against the bumper?(Karma getting me for a past discretion, letting drive 20 miles from home?) About 300 miles since repair on...
Found it..............
Bad on me! (again). When I installed the extension harness, and heat sink up in the bumper, I let the wire rub on the inside of the bumper. Wednesday morning I went out, to start tracing wires from front to back. Fortunatly, the problem was looking at me where I started...
OK, gotta ask....CTS line?
I have managed to find a wiring schematic.....Pink line from F/SOL fuse to a pin on the FSD, then goes to fuel s/d solenoid. So PMD a possibility again after all?
Still F('n)/SOL.... Not sure what else is on the circuit, cant turn up a wiring diagram for this thing.
I picked up a new s/d solenoid today, put it in...let idle for 1/2 hour...went for 20 mile test drive, staying close to home, all was fine. Put a light load in, struck out across town...20...
Well, couldnt resist and got behind the wheel, with a load of goodies(moving furniture to new digs) Fuse blew when engine reached operating temp. After six blown fuses called AAA and got it back into the shop. Probably Tuesday before I can get in and go thru the grounds again. I'll check what...
Went to Car-part.com to shop for a later style air cleaner, and they give two variations to shop for, a standard box, and a "option K 47". I was searching for 1998 and up. I searched around for a bit, is there any advantage to one over the other?
