    Splash shield?

FYI, Moog makes an extension hose kit from the idler arm bracket, was $20.00 at Advance. Extends a hose from the idler arm bracket down to the sway bar bracket on the pass side. Makes greasing that often overlooked bracket a breeze. It's a part of the "problem solver" idler arm bracket...

    Front end parts advice needed

I just went thru all of this in the past two weeks. My ball joints were bolted as I had replaced them 13 months ago with the cheap house brand AZ parts that I suspect may have come from china.(with the convenient 1 year replacement warranty, a hint I ignored) The rubber boot on one of the uppers...

    Non engine question.........

Replaced steering gear, hydro boost unit, and ALL associated hoses over the weekend. Did not replace the PS pump. Have a very annoying growling from the steering system. The kind you get when low on fluid. (Fluid is at proper level, and steering system was bled, and should be well bled after...

Lower Ball joints on a Suburban

According to the Rock Auto catalog, 1996 K1500 Burb (and Tahoe as well) came with both forged and stamped lower arms(obviously not on the same vehicle). So you'll have to visually inspect to see which you have.

    1994 Chevy K3500 6.5 diesel 4x4

Did this come on all of a sudden, during your current trip? Just speculating here......the 18 and 35 code might show up with a bad load of fuel, goofing up the Optic sensor causing a cascade of other faults with tranny shift timing, etc.? Another thought, it wouldnt be the first time...

    OBD 1 resistor replacement question.....

50 koko cycles is about a week of driving for me, so I wont force the issue.........Provided.... it will relearn the same offset I have it set at now? or will it attempt to revert to a stock value? I'm doing FTB and a cummins lift at the same time, so I hope I notice a bit more power from...

    OBD 1 resistor replacement question.....

Have a #4 resistor in the FSD mounted in the nostril. Got a fresh extension cable, as my old one has some visible chafing , and a new #9 resistor to go in at the same time. Will I need to do a TDCO relearn by installing the different value resistor on the OBD 1? or is it plug and play...

    Help, my truck wets itself!

When I first got my truck I had this problem. Someone working on the truck previously managed to turn the drain fitting to an upright position. Needless to say, the opening needs to point down.

    Lift pump alternatives

After some considerable digging thru the cryptic Delphi website I was able to access their 2005 feed pump catalog online. (Yep, 2005 seems to be the latest version available). The spec for the hpf923 which is the pump that the hpf953 replaces were 50gph @ 10psi, with "psi shut off" at 18. The...

    Lift pump alternatives

All they could tell me at Pensacola was it is rated at 12-16 psi, no flow info, or any other info available....from them anyway. Havent tried Rock Auto. Gonna see if I can find a Delphi supplier here locally, maybe they will help me out if I'm standing in front of them. Or try to catch the...

    Lift pump alternatives

Well, with the frb 5 at $130.00 I have renewed interest in the hfp953. I searched around some of the dodge cummins forums to see if I could turn up any info on it. It seems those gentlemen are way more interested in just going the FASS/AirDog/Raptor route than fooling with anything remotely...

    Lift pump alternatives

That does look interesting indeed, and the price is right. I missed the part in the description about it being flow on fail? Although it seems there's nothing to fail other than the 12vdc connection. I take the rest of the post to mean you still have the frb5 available at $95.00? Didnt see...

    Lift pump alternatives

Well I decided it was time to get a new lift pump so went in search of an frb 5. Found the thread about the price increase coming, and the possible lack of availability. Thinking it might be a good thing to wait on the frb 28, but doesnt seem to be any definate release time, or pricing on that...

Help me out if you can?...........

Been looking around here and the other place and cant find it....the name of that OBD1 tuning program from sweden that plugs into the ALDL and reads what the ECM is seeing in real time. As I recall it was around the $300.00 range or so. Thinking instead of replacing all of my problematic...

    Tensioner pulley, new ones different

Hate to dredge up such an old thread, but it pertains directly to my problem...... About a month back my tensioner pulley failed. Didnt think much of it, got a "new style" without the flange at the local flaps and put it on, along with a new belt. After about two weeks the tensioner threw the...
