Walt has some good parts, IMO the best ... such as a stainless exhaust and x-over. His intake is crap, his PMD relocation kit is crap, and his ECM is nothing more than a Westers ECM that is restickered with the SSdiesel kit. His cooling upgrade is *ok*, not the best, but respectable. He wont...
Yea, i guess i wasnt specific enough, and every time you make a "every single..." comment about a GM vehcile, you find out they made a half dozen that defy the rule!! As for the states, maybe the much older 6.5 in the F trucks didn't have the soot trap, but I know that they were on all of the...
RC... all 6.5s have a cat, and by that I mean they have a soot trap. it isn't really a cat. If people want to be sticklers, they all need a cat, but for most seeing the 2500 and above badge is enough.
ohhh yea, the trim indentations on our trucks dont line up from the bed to the cab, follow the line with your eyes and you'll see.. I find that makes me think mine looks like a V sometimes.
its more likly to be the supports holding the cab up sinking a little bit. Look at our body style truck with about 500,000 miles in the woods and you'll see it taken to an unreal degree
it sounds like a roar, I know what my engine sounds like with and without, as mine gets jammed when its really cold sometimes, and thats how I know... if you really think your fan is jammed than take it off and start the truck and rev it, you'll hear that that sounds like and if its sounds...
I have that issue too, but i think its a bum t-stat... good point though... but I dont know which is worse, I'm pretty sure New Caladonia is a pretty warm place, so maybe that wont hurt a thing!!

"Cooling System Sealant Tablets"
That's what that page recommends, I dont know if its the solution, I havn't heard a whole lot about it in these C/K forums.
I did some digging on another site I'm a regular on, I inquired about 6.5 issues a LONG time ago, and this was something that came up, I checked the link and it still works.

This *might* be what you are looking at.
mmmm i'll be up home this weekend, I think they're open on saturdays? I'll try to grab some and ship them out to you, if that is at all possible? how much does it cost to send an envelope to New Caledonia?
They'll fit no problem, like Ace said, but to also elaborate, the 1993 manifolds don't have holes for the electronics, so they need to be tapped for them
the number 8 cylinder is known to develop pin holes in some blocks that leak in coolant when not running and then pressurize the coolant system when running... the only fix and another block... although apparently there is a *maybe* fix that is a powder available from GM that is ginger root...
oh no don't worry, its going to a switch that can handle 60 amps. :nonod:
I *think* he may have switched it now, cuz when he posted what he had done several people began the "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" campaign, and hopefully persuaded him to switch that system. He is a good kid, new to his 6.5 and...
Theres a kid over on the place that did it without a solenoid right to a switch in the cab... thats awesome if you're cool with burning your truck to the ground... anyone interested? :D
