Stopped by AutoZone for a scan today. He could not get power to his scanner and said I must have a fuse out or a loose wire. Is the plug fuse protected? I think there are only 5 wires going to the plug. Is that normal?

Unplugged to Edge and still smokes badly at idle. The only reason I lean toward the MAF sensor is because I have unplugged it before for troubleshooting and it smoked. That combined with the air intake not going below 32 leads me to beleive there is an issue with the maf sensor. For testing...

Since a trip to MN a month ago, (-12 degrees F) My edge does not sense air intake temperature below 32 degrees. I have also developed a smoking exhaust, at idle only. I am wondering if my Air Flow Sensor has gone bad? Any way to test it?

I do mine from the liner. I invested in the clip tool from Merchant. I can do the filter change in about 10 minutes or less.
