God i hate those ****** **** *** blue headlights!!! I got a set of Truck EFX lights with the oem bulbs and that made a world of diffrence. The stock lenses yellow and make it so that you cant even tell that you have your brights on.
I can't even hear the actuator moving. I"m gonna just tear into it here soon, sick of sweating in my truck for 15 minutes before the floor vent air makes it to me.
yes, and i can change from heat to cold but not the floor to defrost to vent. takes forever to feel cool with it stuck on floor. Where should i start tearing into it?
Well... got you to look at the thread anyway.....
My climate control in the truck is having issues. It wont change from floor to defrost to vents, it's stuck on floor/vents and it makes it miserable to drive in, especially 600 miles of 95* weather. What do i have to tear apart or dig into to...
It may have been, not 100% sure where it was. been doing more towing since and i just turned up the tm up to 14-15psi and that made another huge diffrence on egt's.
Here it is, Hauled it through West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and into Michigan. Through the smoky mountains. Best i can figure is the trailer weighed 13k and it made it over every mountain without stopping including the 5 miles of 5% grade :D
I had an older thread titled "what changed" but after a week of heavy towing i think i should have changed it to "what didn't change".
First off my exhaust temps are much lower under load, like 2-3 hundred degrees. The engine doesn't get to 210 as fast as it used to as well. I can keep my...
Ok, so EGT's do seem to be lower and there is a little more power from what i can tell. The only place i notice it though is the 80-100mph range, it seems to accelerate a little faster. I wish now i got the GL4. Basically it's the same truck without the defueling issues which i mean is a plus...
The only diffrence i can tell is it doesn't defuel anymore. egt's are still the same, acceleration is the same, sounds the same, i've heard nothing but good but this i have to wonder..... Only thing i can think of is i heard somewhere that the 2000 6.5 trucks had a 20+ hp program already. Maybe...
I do have a 2500 but when i went to go see how much i could tow with it they said they go by axles, not ratings. They also said it would be physically impossible for me to overload it with a 2 car hauler.
The exhaust is loud from the outside of the cab, there is a bit of a drone in the cab but...
I know i need new tires lol. Mine are 10 ply but the tread sure isn't helping on mileage. When i talked to Heath they said that i should keep the 265's. In fact his tires on his truck are even taller than mine.
When i loaded the Silverado i had to put it on backwards and hang it over the...
I'm starting my new job and my first haul was an 06 1500 ccsb chevy and an 07 avalanche on a 2k wedge trailer. Went 500 miles from Hastings Mi to Des Moines Ia and the truck held together too. I did defuel eventually and egt's stayed from 900 to 1100  and coolant got up to 210 a couple...
I'm going to start using my truck to pull a 2 car gooseneck 5 days a week. Getting a Duramax soon but for now it's what i have and i might as well use it. I have all the mods in my sig and am getting a GL4. My problem is i'm constantly running into high iat's and it's defueling my...
Oh man, Every chance i get if it's wet!! and i've got pics You're not having fun if your not getting stuck. Yeah my truck is 2wd but if you learn how to drive it you can get farther than most idiots with 4x4 :D. Got a MOOG front end for the most part, If i break something then i just replace it...
