I have had good luck with mine then I guess. I had no issues with the motor. It has been a solid product, it comes with a Warry that I have not had to use.
I got the long block, IP, Injectors, and Glows for 3400.00 shipped to WA state. Yes, you know you are getting a high end 6.5 motor...
6.5 does run them on a dyno before they ship them out. The other thing I liked is that this was the main engine they rebuild. They do others, but this is their bread and butter....
The place in NY is the company I bought mine from. I got the long block, Reman injection pump(manual) Injectors, and glow plugs from them all in the same shipment. It only took about 7 days for it to arrive from NY to Wa state. I was going to have it installed due to a back surgery, but fell...
It isnt worth risking your substantial investment in a new/reman motor to save a couple of hundred bucks. It is my luck when trying to save a nickel, I trip over a 20.00 bill :mad2:
I have a standard cab, and I wish I atleast had an extended cab, so I have benn looking. Used Diesels are expensive in my area. Somthing that has 30-80K miles on it and around 8-10 years old will run you 25-35K. That is crazy. I would fix it, and if you want something different, sell it. If...
Congrats on the trip! It is a great feeling to repower, and be happy with your blood, sweat, and tears. I am interested in your turbo set up. I dont want to derail your post, but if you would be willing to PM me some details about it, I would really appreciate it. I am currently running the...
I think this is something we all struggle with. Reason I bought my 93 6.5TD was because, one, I dont like the driving the same truck 50 of my neighbors are driving, I like something different, which is partly the reason for the wrap in flat black. Second, I like the way Diesels sound, I know...
That is what I run in mine, You have to account for the time that the radiator needs to shead the heat. It itsnt instant. the water has to flow back thru the motor to the rad to have the heat removed.
If you start with a 190, it only gives you 10 degrees for the system to remove the heat...
This happened to me when I swapped out my motor. I found out that due to how far the engine sits under the cowl, and the fact that I didnt remove the Glow Plug Relay, I damaged it internally when I pulled the old motor. After I beat my head against the wall for days, and testing everything, I...
