Heater blowing luke warm at best

Sorry, no pics, my buddy dumped the culprit junk before I could. As far as the flush goes, most people use a garden hose, but I didn't have that luxury. I removed the line from the therm housing.( I have the DIY quick connect deletion mod). I added about 6 feet of clear hose to that aluminum...

Heater blowing luke warm at best

I just had an interesting experience today. Haven't been "here" for a while, but thought this would be of use to those who experience the same symptoms I had. Since a bought my truck, almost 4 years agoa, it had medeocre(spelling?) heat. Couldn't figure it out, cleaned out the core fins, changes...

    Huge problems :( Engine maybe

I would check injectors first. Simplest and would be my first spot to check if that was happening to me. Good luck.

    High Idle Installed ..... Wow!

My friend diesel mechanic said about 30 seconds of slow idle prior to engaging it. It all depends on how cold. The 1070 isn't that much faster than stock, so it probably wouldn't hurt anything, the 1300 setting is a little fast for a cold engine.

    High Idle Installed ..... Wow!

1070 RPM- ground pin B8 1360 RPM-ground pin B7 1600 RPM- short B7 and B8 together I find myself using the 1070 mostly, 1360 when it gets really cold out, and we have had a lot of that lately. The truck warms up a lot faster than base idle. It may not seem like much, but it is a great...

    High Idle Installed ..... Wow!

I bought the pins at the local GM dealer, a 1.50 each. The p/n's are int he procedures below. I may get in trouble for this, but here are the procedures for OBD1 and OBD11 Fast Idle Setup Electronic 6.5's All electronic injected "drive by wire" 6.5s have provision for a fast idle for PTO...

    High Idle Installed ..... Wow!

What I mean by 2 position is it has center as off, and the 2 on positions, up and down, either side of center. So in my case each on position has a wire going to the pcm, but the switch has only one ground wire and both on positions use the same ground. That way you only need one switch, 2...

    High Idle Installed ..... Wow!

I got my high idle mod done today. What a sweet thing that is!:D My truck warmed up twice as fast. For those of you who have already done this, you know what I'm talking about, but if you haven't, and you live in the "great white north", I would highly recommend it. I can't believe I...
