Thanks gyes. Again you amaze me with quick and helpfull answers to get the ol`baby going again.
This site is simply awesome. Think the truck would have been for sale allready if it wasn´t for your help :smile5:
I will return the relay tomorrow, and get the right one. Install, clear the code...
Bought a new GP relay but the pins are different from the old one.
The old one has three pins (in the outlets number three, four and five, counting from drivers side.) (Dont know the age of it)
The new one has four pins in the outlets one, two, three, four.
Shapes of the new one tells...
NVW, your the best ;0)
The leak WAS from the plate with the two bolts. :smile5: -so this one ended up being a much smaller repair than i feared.
Now I also see why it came when sitting in the shop.... When unscrewing the nuts holding the GP Relay, one of the bolts apparently turned and it...
Suppose you gyes have the engine, or heads taken out, before working on the freeze plugs ? ?
Mine started leaking today from the back of the drivers side head. I can´t even get my hands or eyes down there between the fireplate insolation and the exhaust manifold. Hard to se where its from, but...
Well... no u-joints had wear to them. When i grab the shaft going to the differential, i can turn it some from side to side before it moves the wheels. Seems like there is a good amount of slack in both the diff. and in the transfer gear.
Since i cant move the axle up and down, would it mean...
When I release the throttle, and press it down again, a clunk is sounding from somewhere in the driveline. Sounds like comming from the middle of the truck or somewhere behind that. It feels like there is some sort of slack too. This thing is getting more and more. Truck has 163 k on it, and I...
Folks,
Had my batteries tested seperately tonight, they both shoved arround 12,3 Volts, and the back of the alternator said 13,4 V at idle.
So it must be the guage in the dash thats out of order like one suggest, I guess.
Thank you for the good and interessting replies. Everytime you put...
Great, thanks. I will have him measure the batts one by one like u suggest.
Yep, tac is always steady, and all grounds are resently walked thru and renewed
Hi gyes
My voltage guage usually points near the red mark at 9-10 volts.
Batteries cranks the starter quickly and it does not seem to lack any electric power.
Some times driving, it will raise to about 12 V, but never above, and the next minut point at 9 again.
My brother checked the...
Finally got the cruise to live again. Turned out that the only fuse blown was one for the brake-cirkuit, but now it works. Strange car :)
Even more strange because in the meantime every once in a while the vipers would not work, but when it happened, the cruise worked.
Now both things works...
Thank you for the advice. We are almost neighbors ;-) I am on the south western part of Sealand
Today I had a pressure gauge at the T-valve and it read 3,2 PSI at idle, and never under 1 PSI when the pedal was floored and truck accelerated.
LP, OPS and tank suction lines and everything from...
My Silverado gets 17 mpg. empty in a mix of interstate and small roads.
Maybe your fuel nozzle shut off before the tank was full the first time ?

Hi folks
Still trying to make her start better.
Just pulled codes today, only got code 41 (Cam sensor...circuit I think) Could that be anything to worry about ?
Thanks
Whoops, while connecting switches for extra lights, i accidently made a short.
Took power to run the light in the switch from the light grey electric panel under the dash, in front of the parking brake release.
Got the cables connected wrong and it sounded like a fuse burned (Click) and no...
Could sound like the problems I just almost gotten rid of. Like many adviced me here, the problem was air in the fuel. A clear hose between the FFM and IP showed me that diesel dissapeared during night, and made her need a long cranking. Plus a little lack of pep during acceleration
Can`t...
Check Engine light is not on. Is´s a 1995. Yes I just purchased a fuel pressure tester, but explored something this morning studying the diesel in the clear line between the FFM and IP before firing her up.
I saw lines of tiny small bubbles constantly mowing in the line from the FFM towards the...
Unfortunately she´s still not running perfect.
I got my new tank suction element mountet, cleaned the tank, and renewed hoses all the way forward until the LP. Put on the new LP too.
Truck still needs little longer cranking than normal, and after it´s been sitting thru the night, there is...
She´s running :-)
When i got things enough apart to reach the OPS for my replace, i figured raise the FFM like I have seen in this forum. Doing that i renewed the fuel lines and put in a clear one from FFM to IP.
Cleaned another two grounds, so like the big vire connector plugs behind FFM...
Hi folks
Thanks for your advice.
The OPS did nok look bad on the terminals, but I figured ordering a new one and a new LP to eliminate another two issues. (LP had a quite loud ticking at some points)
Will mount the things today, hoping that the LP will run allright when engine is running...
Allright, I will inspect fuel lines from tank when i mount my new LP, and try to mount some clear tubing under FFM when i replace my oil pressure switch. Hope this operation will take me a step closer to the problem
