    Dyno results and discussion

It was not our intention to utilize dyno fund monies for our dyno's. We will dyno this year (hopefully a few times) to have our personal comparisons. Presently we are waiting on a new battery for the video camera. We could be ready to go in a week, still personally curious to have the ATT with...

    Dyno results and discussion

we want to hit the rollers, and it will be this summer, but we are not quite ready.. we need to get our modded pump flow tested first, and it takes a while for us to even find a place to dyno... started looking a bit about a month ago, and nothing promising popped up right away.... being that...

Yours would be interesting, the combination of the Heath tune and the *** turbo....LOL. (Been waiting to do that, makes me feel like an internet God). No offence Dennis, all in good fun. If we could run your truck and a truck with the ATT and Buddy's 6 banger, we could compare the tunes. I think...

Too late guys.....6.2turbo has re-opened the Tahoe motor blew up thread:eek: We need some discussion here, do we choose another (ideas needed), or wait for 6.2turbo to get his motor re-assembled. We can always bring 6.2turbo's build back in when he has it up and running again. This will allow...

    Water/Methanol Injection. Need some answers

With our DYI system, it comes on over 8psi (adjustable 5-15psi). We run a single .625 (????) cc nozzle into the hat. Did not try methanol enough to say if there is any additional boost in power, but have been very happy with the effects of the H2O.....from what we have read (for the most part)...

Looks good Red, get ready now to break out the files.....BTW, does not look ugly to me at all.....LOL.

    Tahoe Motor Is Blown Up

Not sure how well it would run at 12-13:1, but I like the idea of a new style bowl. Also believe that it would be of benefit to reducing somewhat the potential of blowby, with the explosion being better contained centrally than with the shallower Ricardo bowl......think that the pre-cup is...

    Tahoe Motor Is Blown Up

When I was studying Mechanical engineering, we always discussed destructive and non-destructive testing....you my friend are the master of destructive test methods...LOL. Great info on the crown thickness by the way.....Jeff and I have been discussing a method of having a type of flapper with an...

We did all of our cutting with an angle grinder for exactly the reason of limiting deformation from the heat. Were the new valve springs included in the price with the cam?

    Tahoe Motor Is Blown Up

maybe we would give them a try... i know jim was measuring and came up with some numbers, and what needed to be done to them, after supper we will talk about it just to see if it is worth it/ feasible.....

    Tahoe Motor Is Blown Up

he already has an optimizer that he bought from the mil. auctions.... it had bent pushrods and i think broken valves? the rods are all the same between optimizer and earlier motors, all forged... like was mentioned, the p-400 ones might be different, i do not know..... to bad it blew again...

    HX40II Turbo Install

yeah i just went and searched, you are right... i thought that our wheels were bigger... 76mm 64mm versus 70.00mm 56.00mm

    HX40II Turbo Install

so what you are saying, is that the same wheels, in a smaller housing, will flow better than the same wheels in a bigger housing?

    HX40II Turbo Install

do tell, share your info on turbos.... the wheels in our H1c are identical to the mid size CKO-40... and the housing is bigger, i find the reality is hard to deny.... even if the technology is better, how can a smaller housing flow better than a much bigger housing?

    HX40II Turbo Install

over at the DPage, they have been using the 35 before many of the members have been out of diapers...:hihi:.... it falls right in the middle of the map for the 6.5l = 70-80 percent efficiency..... the people that say the 35 is too small are mis-informed... sure it has more drive pressure, but it...

    HX40II Turbo Install

i wonder how a turbo with a 16cm2 housing can get better drive pressure numbers than a H1C with a 18cm2 non-gated housing?

    HX40II Turbo Install

:???: why buy a turbo that boosts to high for what you want? this turbo is not really one to try to keep below 15psi.... has no one posted a turbo map yet? if you want a turbo that will stay below 15 psi you might be better off using an hx-35 and waste gating it at 15psi....

    Injector Nozzles

the pumps would be numbered something like this i would imagine( i have down-loaded so much info for these pump numbers): cdbg-4431, or jdbg-2350, 0r 2437, maybe 2445.... also dont forget they were possibly roosa-master/CAV pumps.... the g would stand for generator, the c cummins, and the "j"...

    cdr questions and thoughts...

yeah, x-2 on blow-by and still running good... not all enthuisists can afford to go out and buy a new motor, even some find it hard to buy a questionable used motor from mil. surplus, so we work with what we got... our old 6.2l with the cracked pistons(8) had massive blow by, pull off the cdr...

    cdr questions and thoughts...

it is because the OEM system is flawed, how can we not pull oil when the cdr is 1" from the oil in the valve cover with just steel wool seperating the 2? same thing using the oil fill, the oil is flung up and collected with the vacuum, the old 6.2l had a steel baffle inside which helped... if...
