As far as we know (AFAWK), the fund is still operational. Les will be on soon to confirm. Need to get a truck on there.....yours would be good, but too early in break-in yet. Who do you got in mind ?
We do a lot of our referencing and purchasing with BAE (Bob's Automotive Engineering)......great site, good service and brand name turbo's and pieces.

That is the Holset link, (without the http://, of course). Most major manufactures are sold here...
yep, the cummins guys refer to this one as the "laggy pig", but it has the biggest compressor wheel of all the previous H1C, put a 16cm2 on it and it will work great... same one as we run.... but we have a waste gated housing..... also it does not hurt at all to knife edge the twin scroll...
do you know what housing is on your H1c? if i had to guess, i would say it has the too tight 12cm2, which is too small for a 6.5l that does any type of working.... a H1C with a non gated 16cm2 housing will boost to 12-18 psi WOT with a cranked .310" pump and have half the drive pressure of your...
dont need to balance it if the wheels have not hit the housings.... or if you upgrade, the new shafts and wheels come already balanced... go with a 16cm2 housing, whether waste gated or not it will work good for you.... and stay away from chinese rebuild kits and turbos for piece of mind...
pretty impressive, looks like all your hard work has paid off... just a couple questions, in the first vid were you spraying WMI? and what size turbo did you upgrade too? also i would not worry about working around civilians, you seem pretty competent, and that speaks more than words:agreed:
Those are excellent #'s, congrats to the IDI guys.....you all set the bar well. Really has us patiently waiting for the end of our landscaping season, so we can get into the garage for the winter.
Really glad you are up and running, the wrinkles will all iron out....
When you have it running, is your high idle, cold advance cutting out? You can easily check it with a volt meter on both pins. When we were adjusting our governor, found that the governor adjustment shaft needs to...
Hopefully, just standing down for now....still would like to see one of your trucks pass on the rollers......sooooo.....
who's next? do we still have cash in the fund? do we need to donate again?who wants to dyno?.......:sifone:
actually i should have said was, as we took out the modded .310" because after 2000 miles it would not start hot, and i guess our turbo was a bit smaller, but we have the o-rings, headstuds and girdle on still.... still boosting to 20 psi with a .290" pump, and just replaced our WMI pump with a...
i did not name you in this at all, we follow what you do with interest, and you are wise not to stir the pot, and i did not call you or anyone else a liar, it is just plain stupid to turn these guys away when they have went to great pains to mod these pumps, i think we can all learn from them.....
cant comment on the gm-x turbos because we went from N/A directly to aftermarket..... but have had them lined up beside many other types and sizes and can only say "yuck"....LOL... but on a side note they fill up the turbo shelves nicely and impresses the clients with quantity, so it is not all...
this is jeff here, as one part of "turbonator", i would just like to say that i am deeply dissappointed with all of this... the same thing is going on right now at the other site between myself and the cummins twins and their inability to provide any sort of proof to their claims... do you want...
Do you have pictures of how you brought the exhaust manifolds up? What diameter pipe did you use from manifolds to the turbo flange? Good to see, similar to the look from the original Pugg build. How well does the 2 cdr system work? We believe that a center or balanced exhaust should free up...
