Took off the factory front pipe with the worthless catalytic converter on it tonight. Installed a 4" stainless MBRP front pipe in it's place. I am surprised how much difference it seemed to make. It seems to spool up quicker and I have a little more turbo whistle which is cool...
I'm...
I guess that explains why I seen it on the trailer.......
BTW, I think there may be a lot of short day corn planted in the near future, some of the fields were washed out something terrible.....
My truck before the Dmax was a '02 GMC 2500HD. The piston slap in those motors made it sound like a diesel. Consistently got 12-13mpg empty and about 8 towing any weight. Personally, I think the motor would last a long time, but I would never buy one again unless it was in the NBS....
One thing to add Vinny....People should not use brakes to stop at any time while moving the sled......or you will get a rude awakening right up your ass..
He's really not joking about having butterflies in you guts....
When I used to pull tractors, I used to get the "shaky" left leg thing going too.....:o
You did very respectable V, that was a very dry track which is unusual. I was lucky enough to be sitting in the stands near a bunch of idiots. The whole pull they were bragg'in on Larse's Dodge, which is a pretty mean rig. One jackass was trying to tell me that it dyno'd at 1700 hp and 3000...
well, If you have the support installed and you still have the slop, it's either the box, centerlink, or tie-rods........
It's cool that we can get a local thread going on here....:D
On second thought, does it have any slop when the truck is running? Mine might act the same way you are describing when off, but when running steering is very tight.
Are you sure you don't have a Dodge? :D
Seriously though, my truck has 90K on it and I don't feel hardly any slop. You need to have someone turn the wheel while your under the truck and find out exactly where the problem is. Could be the steering box or any part of the linkage all the way to...
Just wondering if anyone has replaced their stabilizer shock? I am going to replace mine since it is leaking and I'm sure it's toast and was wondering if people were going aftermarket or OEM...
