1/17/10 What battery operated power tools do you use?

I guess I am a wierd one here as I completely dislike the battery powered tools. At work we have some Makita, Metaubo, Dewalt and Wilwaukee. The first 3 are junk for us. We can burn them up in 1 yr or less and get no support from the manufacturer. Milwaukee drills we used were made in Germany...

Now a worst farm shop tread

):h I loaned my truck to the pastor of my church and his son to help him move, it comes back after a week and after an $800 body shop fix I dont loan anything pretty much period!! If someone needs some help I offer to take the truck but only I control the truck. Or anything else for that...

    Tool Preference?

Funny as I just read this thread and my personal choice is Craftsman and S-K. I called our guy we buy tools from yesterday about some warranty stuff on some S-K and found out they have been on strike since April of 09 and getting anything is very hard all over the country. They are also the...

    Mpg difference between 2wd & 4wd?

I chuckled when I read your response but I have 2WD and I like it. I live in Colorado where the winters are snowy and never felt I needed the extra traction either. IF it is too bad outside, I stay home because enough other people who think they have the world by the balls and wont get stuck are...

    Which Tractor To Buy?

Something I would also throw out is what kind of service is available to you in your area so if you need parts you can get them to fix your machine. To me it does no good to have the best price or machine if you cant get parts to fix the dang thing

    seized front driveshaft

Fill it with something like WD -40 for a while and then try it again. When I was working at a construction company they used some Caterpillar anti seize and that snot was incredible. I got a can of it when I left and it keeps stuff from galling up all the time. Good luck in getting it apart

Now a worst farm shop tread

My dad had a welding business shop and as a kid I could never stand the clutter. Then one day a customer came looking for something he needed and my dad was able to go right to that shelf that held it and sold it to him. The guy had been all over looking and nobody had it. We did though! I...

    Winter Tires: What to think?

Here in Colorado they have restrictions on those who go into the mountains when the conditions are bad, and if they have declared that snow chains are REQUIRED, and you get off the road then you are subjec to a hefty fine. I dont remember the amount but the semi drivers are subejct to up to $500...

(08/25/09) How many times do you fuel your truck in a week?

Guess I will add to what you have said here in that my truck sits in the garage a lot!! and I drive only on weekends with it or to go and pick something up that is too big for the car. If I fill up once a month that has been a lot of driving for me. As for miles in a year??? Last year I put on...

    Tractors - Post them.

Chuckled as I read about the overkill and then I remember where I grew up and the farms were mostly dry land in wheat, or oats. But the ground the guys had were in the 2 to 5 thousand acres and granted they only farmed a crop on half of it a year but they had some guys who my dad repaired their...

Anyone ever worked on a Buick Rendezvous?

One of my step daughters had one for about 18 months and they had a lemon so they got rid of it and bought a caravan I think and as far as I am concerned they just traded payments on a vehicle. It is always in the shop as well.

    11/15/09 Favorite Beer

I really enjoy a variety of microbrews and here in Colorado there are many. We have really close the New Belguim brewery Odells, Left hand and others. But I like any good German Wheat beer I find at a good price at the store. I smiled a those who drank Coors because that stuff is just nasty...

    Mpg difference between 2wd & 4wd?

It was all I could afford at the time since I paid cash on the spot and found a truck that was 2+ yrs old with only 7800 miles on it. I have owned the thing now since 05 and just turned it over to 35K. It is all I need for a truck in my book

Poll 10/26/09 Would you loan your truck out?

I will really have to look at who gets to use it now. I lent it to my pastor to help move his son here from Kansas City. WELL they did a very poor job with straps and they drove in a wind that ended being just at $900 for fixing the box of some scratches and to buff it out. The son stiffed me on...

What Cab Configuration do you have?

I have the Ec short bed but at the time I was not able to find a long bed version so I took what I could afford but long bed is my choice if I could have one. Since it is just the wife and me, I prefer the extended cab instead for the storage it provides
