I like them there not real flashy, but still alot nicer then the stockers. And you are right on the price difference on tires. I pay $600.00 for my winter 285-75-16's and 1,100.00 for my 285-65-18's for the summer, Makes you think twice about burning the summer tires off!!!
Rotella on the LB7 for the last 92k Also Rotella for the LLY but I have only changed it once since I have owned it. I was thinking about changing the LLY over to ROYAL PURPLE because I run it harder then the LB7 but when I went to buy it was like 7 or 8 bucks a qrt. I like to change my oil &...
Yeah, it will hold a little longer like that. I would suggest locking out 5th when you are playing around with a big tune on a stock tranny. I ran the ppe on LVL-6 on our LB7 with 5th locked out and it held the power fine on a stock tranny. For how long is the real question???????
I have been running the PPE HOT+2 ET on LVL-8 (315hp) in 15-40 degree weather with no problem, other then tire wear!!!:)Video of D-MAX-2 - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
They will were out regardless if you are running 245's or 35' so I would say just run what you like. Yes bigger tires put more were on steering parts then factory but to say how much would just be a guess.
They all wear out quick, whether it be ford, dodge, or chevy they seem to wear out around 80k in general. I replaced bolth mine at 90k and my buddy with an 05 cummins replaced his at 80k.
