    whinning noise

when you turn the steering wheel, does the whine go away? or does it do it all the time? it could be the ps pump now that i think of it. it sounds like it isn't the idler pulley since the bolts/screws are nice and snug. check the belts tension and see if the play is good enough, it has been a...

    coolant leak-help

i thought it may be a water pump too but it sounds like an egr issue maybe some type of heater hose is loose or old. can't they make something without an issue??

Who Do DH Members smoke out.

in CA, especially sf bayarea, bicyclists are asses, they think they have no restrictions and can do what they want so sometimes they get a black cloud dependant on mood

    whinning noise

basically what everyone said here. Alternator could be going bad, or maybe a serpetine belt could be worn out.

welcome! if you are mechanical and like fiddling with things get the banks or efi live. otherwise stick to hypertech, its pretty cheap, gives good performance and is right up your alley.

    recall on instrument clusters/speedometer

i just received a letter in the mail about a lawsuit saying that the clusters on the 01-05 trucks are prone to failure and if you have 80k on your truck and experience this failure then you can have gm replace the cluster for no charge. anybody else get this letter? maybe its just CA?

    looking for the best exhaust.....

mbrp or magnaflow are probably the best brands to buy. but again depends on price, looks, and such. although i agree that deleting the cat can get some good performance gain, depending on where you live emissions laws may be looking for any soot producing vehicle so law enforcement may hassle...

    looking for the best intake......

i have an aem, i like it the turbo whistle is louder and their is some performance gain. i would stay away from filter systems that you need to have reoiled but that is my opinion. get a banks system if you have the funds, might as well get all you can for the money. let us know what you decide!!!!
