Time to unveil another product ( GLOW PLUG TOOL )

I'll get you a pic. I had no trouble taking out the WAP's using the tool. Let it be known, though, that I had previously broken a glow plug off flush with the head when I changed them before. That was a bugger. But I managed to get that out using every trick I know. What did the trick was...

Time to unveil another product ( GLOW PLUG TOOL )

All came out intact. I held the outer part of the socket by hand and just because it was easier/quicker, used my 18v Dewalt on the inner socket. My truck now starts without having to be plugged in :) Turboman, will yours unthread and the tip is stuck, or will they not break loose? The...

Time to unveil another product ( GLOW PLUG TOOL )

OK, 6/8 done, tool works great. Need to get the downpipe out of the way to complete the back 2 on PS. But, riddle me this: All 4 on DS had swollen tips, so far the 2 I've changed on PS did NOT. I did verify current during WTS on those as well.

    Battery Charging Indications

Had 2 original batts on an 02 DMAX still good, but had to change 11/09 due to terminals corroding off. I've consistently had good history with using JCI batts from Sam's. $65/each/last time I bought a set.

Time to unveil another product ( GLOW PLUG TOOL )

OK, I'm in, I'll take one. I bought my new injectors and glowplugs prior to learning not to buy the dreaded WAP. Cant remember where I bought them. Anyway, yeah, tips are swelled. I've got a set of Bosch Duraterms, changed the front one on DS, couldn't pull out the rest on DS. Been...

    it's totalled, now what?

Completely agree with you Dan! I think you're pretty well set. Take the check, buy the 'burb, swap the bed and you're off, probably still with some coin in the pocket. I think buyback shouldn't be more than 20% of settlement.

Good and bad years for 6.5's

Love my 99, love having 2 full size SUV's as family vehicles. Good luck finding a suitable unit, and ask questions as needed.

    Oil Line "UNCLE"!!!!

I went with custom lines because they could be made right now, whereas GM's or Dorman had to be ordered. OK, that and they are so much better.

At least it's off the truck, I had to pull the manifold to get to it.

    twisted off glow plug

Been there, tried all the above, didn't work. BUT, I ultimately conquered. I'm sure every little bit helped, tried all the penetrating oils, heat/cool, easy out-broke that. Couldn't get a welded nut to hold either. (Did get the easy-out out by welding a nut to that) I would suggest melting...
