That's awesome, I know you worked at that for a long time.
I've been too busy on other projects like dual alternators:rolleyes5::mad2: but I really need to get this fixed as well. Maybe I'll start at the QD as well.
I just tried them, with no luck. When I search for the bracket, 10244209, I get this:

Dual alternator bracket needed.
This is an old thread, but has good info.
I am looking for the left side alternator bracket used for dual alternator setup OR from my understanding, some C&C, ambulance package setups, or perhaps 3500hd with left side alternator.

Maybe mine already has the bypass restriction. I'll have to check.
Thanks for the replies, I just finished a 600 mile trip with the family. The rear heat actually did pretty good. I think Bobby may be on to something with the evap/heater core blend door, as I recall in summer, I felt front AC did not get as cold as rear. And I think I really need to get...
My 'burb has always had poor front heat output. This morning, I spent a little time to further try to get an understanding of this. The rear heat output is fairly good. The front heat will do fair to OK if on recirc, but if on fresh air, it is barely warm, more of a cool-but not cold output...
Was able to open the original link, but not the second. I assume the original link also linked to the updated info. Lots of good stuff there, thanks buddy.
The PYO's are 16 x 6, they work fine, I run them in the summer with 265's with no prob. Also run 17" hummer wheels with PYO caps, which require a 1 1/3 or 2" spacer on the rear.
Do you have voltage at the actuator? If you do, the actuator probably isn't going to engage, just swap it out. If you don't have current there, you might manually jump the actuator with a 12v jumper wire.
I've always changed out the axles by dropping them from the front diff, then sliding them inward. No need to pull anything off the hub except the axle nut.
