Care to explain why you are the only person i know selling turbos that won't give out every spec on your turbo? Any other place i buy a turbo from will give me every detail about their turbo. I refuse to buy from someone who just says, my turbo is big enough. That doesn't tell me if the turbo is...
Well, I've got the truck and plan on drag racing it some and seeing what it does. It won't sit still here. I'm just to busy at the moment to fix the couple little things that need attention. It's a hoot to drive .....
I don't know, i've seen what a modified 6.5 can do and it's not that hard to make them run with a mildly modified v-8. Fueling is the hardest thing about this. When going over 300 hp on the db pumps it is hard to get them right.
Yea, definetly a kick in the nutz ... I just came from visiting him today.
And yes some of it was the size of the turbo but your 18cm housing will be close to the same size as far as turbine housings are compared. His may have been a tad bit smaller actually. One sure way to find out is to...
Cumminsfever and I are brothers. And he vented both banks but while we were trying to tune it we realized that venting both side is not ideal. The turbo falls flat when the gate opens . Only venting one side keeps the turbo spinning while bleeding drive pressure.
Minimum 8 years. Right now my world is spinning round me. Just trying to take this one step at a time. Gonna finish his projects for him and make em run like he envisioned. Gonna be hard for me at times...
Working awesome so far. right around 20 mpg. Cumminsfever will no longer be posting . He was incarcerated monday so i will be carrying on with the projects myself. Will possibly have a friend/fellow forum member helping . Not sure yet whats happening. Gonna take a little time to work out...
They are the same pumps. Only difference is the auto version has the tps on the side. The throttle shaft has a spot for a pin in and on manual trans they just don't put the tps on...
We build our own injectors. I had a set of standard injectors in a 96 truck an it ran smoother an pulled strong up to redline, but didn't have the torque the marine injectors give.
Yea, it lost all smoke and it doesn't lunge as bad from a dead stop on full throttle take off. but it gained torque and as a result much more drivability. Goes up hills with much less throttle input and hold lockup in hi gear very nicely on a hill.
