Its home!!!!!! Brought it home yesterday and took it to work last night.
Dont mind the fuzzyness of the pic i took it with my cell phone last night.
So far the mods done are:
Feed the Beast
opened up the upper intake (cut out a lot of the webbing)
Advanced timing on the IP.
I forgot to mention that i found out today that the truck has the Feed the beast mod done to it already using the filter set up from an older 6.2 truck! So between the advanced injector pump timing and this mod the truck should have some nice power going on.
Welp..its offically mine as of today! Found out that the grille guard that came with it is a winch mount style but i will be replacing the winch mount plate with a crossbar to mount my lights. Reason being is i gotta fab something a lot more sturdy for the 8000 Lb winch i found for it.
I will def talk to him about the idea. i kinda have an idea in mind how to go about it. Using two marine style headers with the flanges facing up towards the hood and running the crossover over the top of the motor with the turbo mounted in the center of it.
Couldnt i do something like Burning...
Thanks! Well not more then what i paid for the truck...but about 3/4 of what i paid for it yea..if i figured it out right im looking at about $1500ish for the wheels and tires.
Guess i have yet another part to go looking for in the yards lol Already picked the local yard clean of the decent usable parts for my 1st gen Ram lol Time to dig in on the GMT400s lol
Looks great!!! What did the console come out of? I have a feeling i'm gonna be adding many of the same gauges as you did just in a different series such as the sport comps or ultra comps..haven't decided on that part just yet, One can never have too much info as to what the heck is going on...
Hmmm.. I could always talk to my buddy about making some headers to do a hummer style turbo set up if i wanted to stay with the 6.2 heads. Either way i have plenty of options.
Slight change to the mod list..mostly just adding more parts to it lol...
Previous list of planned mods:
Overhead console
Guages (EGT, Boost, Trans temp)
Mandrel bent cross over pipe
larger downpipe
3" exhaust
boost controler
235/85R16 tires
Nudge bar with light mounts which will eventually...
So it could be either an Optimizer or a late GM block that could have been used. Well like i said this truck had its motor replaced in 05 and from what i understand the new engine was like 10K lol I will print off that pic that was posted earlier and give it to my buddy tomorrow so he knows what...
Check out that thread i posted in your CCLB to CCSB conversion thread. That builder did basically exactly what you want to do only difference being he went to 5 lug axles. He did spring over axle in the rear to gain frame clearance and chose to install lowering shackles in the rear to bring it...
