FERM your talking about the LB7 Blade (4 Bolt hole) that cannot be attached to the 6 Bolt clutch.....Correct?
The old 6 Blade fan was replaced with a Hybrid blade of sorts, that was a 20" (I think, I'm not positive on the size) White composite/plastic (Non D Max) blade that attached to the...
Mornin' Bill, Hope your feelin' better, glad to see you fixed the "Circa".......Safe Travels, God Speed!
In 1977 they made good everything!..........Things were made to last 40 years, not like today, everything seems to be disposable.
They, (Delco) made a replacment fan for the 6 blade that bolted to the 96 and earlier clutches.....If you remember when you switched to either the 20" steel or the 21" D Max you had to change the clutch for bolt hole desgin. On my 96 this was the blade that fit the 6 blade steel OEM clutch.
The...
Tim I knew you were coming back on that one...:agreed:
:D:hihi:
SSDiesel is the only guy that sells them.......I've NEVER seen one on any other vendors site/store/whatever.........Isn't it supposed to keep the prime in a extended/overnite/I havn't started my truck in a week condition.
But if...
Good enough for me......Think about it, your OEM chain thats in there RIGHT NOW is good for at least 100,000 miles and I'll bet there are many more still spinning with twice that amount.....
Just to throw it out there, GMCTD (The Guru) jd, always said that the "sprockets" were where the problem...
The WP you want is from the year starting 2000.....(Don't know about the P/N change).......Also it's supposed to be used with a single stat setup, you can use it with a dual setup but your supposed to use a "restricter".......Just recently I "heard" the said restricter, is the same as a 6.2...
Barry seemed to like Cloyes (sp).....He didn't like Melling, and he's changed a few, to say the least.
You can search some of his posts, but I believe that was his choice.....I'd feel good with his take on that.
But thats just me.......Again, JMO Brother.
I would consider Heath Bosch rebuilds.......$$$......But you would get a "quality product, Popped and all."
Tim is "OK" also, but.......
And any Delco or Stanadyne is 99% gonna be India.......and NO clue on POP pressures.
I think 2150 or 2200 PSI is about the norm.....Leaves a little room to...
On my 7.3 I swapped in a starter and the flywheel was in contact with the nose cone.....made a Scary 1/4" notch in the nose cone (good thing those cones are made out of some "soft" metal (Cast maybe?)........Turned out it was for the wrong application, either IDI, N/A, or automatic........(5...
Is there a local diesel shop near you?
Like Les said, rebuild yourself or have a local guy rebuild and pop em......Chances are, he/you can get some Bosch nozzels and (if you don't have/build a pop tester,) you'd have to go to have them tested anyway. A day or 2 and your up and running again...
Hey Richard, YES no air is good.....Should be 1 bubble at the top of the hose when your shut down. (Small to Medium size)
I remember you from 3500HD dot com.....Looks like we're in the same business, What's that, a Vulcan Self Loader parked out front?
Those Grounds at the back of the engine (last intake stud and Tranny dipstick stud) have set my STS and SES lights on.
R and R.....Can't hurt and it's free.
Attitude is everything Bill.....Think good thoughts and good things happen.
Defiantly know what you mean about the Hospital emergency room....If you don't tell them you have chest pain, you'll be there forever.........Then after that they're not even competent enough (For whatever reason) to...
Did you only replace the cone.....Or the entire starter?
If it was a different starter, I'd say that confirms it.....The BOLTS are NO GOOD.
I've heard of people using shims, but that is VERY far and few between......Like 1 out of 100 odds.
I'd go get NEW OEM Stealer bolts.....Just for the...
DTC 16 - Vehicle Speed Sensor Buffer Fault
DTC 78 - Turbo Wastegate Solenoid Fault
Hmmm, VSSB and WG solenoid....Don't know much about The VSSB, but I would think the WG solenoid wouldn't be a "Soft code".
Do you have an extra WG solenoid......Or can you borrow one to see if drivability...
AGREED!
Still need a clean Stack......Also, from the very many combos I've tried, JUST the D Max 21" composite makes a huge difference.......That Blade moves some SERIOUS air.
