If this is the drivers side brake assembly then the shoes are correct. Don't go by the thickness of the friction material, go by the length of the friction material. The primary shoe is always the shorter of the two.
There are vehicles where the shoe will be equal length, but they work differently.
Inspect your doors in the module, I have to take my module out because the mode door fell down inside causing air leakage thru the defroster allowing my windshield to fog on the outside during humid weather, I have rags on top of the dash to block the air flow.
Look at the rubber around the...
I would just take a carbide burr and radius the hole a bit bigger on that side. Its not going to weaken it.
You making to much work to seperate the ball joint, take a 24-36 oz ball-pein hammer and smack the inside part (opposite side of what the picture shows) of the knuckle where the ball...
Do you have rear A/C? If so then the orifice tube is located under the passenger side battery.
If you only have front A/C then the orifice tube would be in the lower pipe of the condensor.
The long filter sock of the orifice tube points towards the condensor.
Pass the wire thru the firewall from the remote start to the glowplug relay and connect it to the stud that that feeds power to the glowplugs when energized.

Yes, 97 and up all used the same stock# computer but GM only installed the Passlock system in the 98 and up vehicles; as I explained before, the 97 column does not have the sensor, lock cylinder and the module to make the system work also the coding is not programmed into the 97...
No,
It will not work, Passlock will be your problem. You need to stay with the 97 year computer if you want to swap.
If anybody say to do a relearn, it won't work because the PCM will looking for signal from the EVO/Passlock module, the 97 only came with the EVO module.
It won't work on the...
The dual tank trucks have as you know two lift pumps and two sending units, To control the system the PCM controls the primary pump as if it was a single tank system, the secondary pump is controlled by a fuel balance relay and fuel balance module.
The module has two functions, one is to...
As what Joey said, you need to check the trim screws on the cowl. There is one screw hidden under the cowl trim piece that also covers the hood hinge on the right side that is directly over the air intake for the HVAC system.
To seal it I just used a piece of butyl rubber tape, take the screw...

The ABS kicking in just before a complete stop is a known problem, GM has a service bulletin for that issue. What is causing this is the sensor on one or both hubs is being heaved by rust scale. The diagnostic procedure to find which wheel is causing the problem is to connect a DVOM to the...
I am running the ES motor mounts and I do not find it objectionable. I have a 97 Tahoe and the inserts I used were purchased from Summit, part# ENS-3-1116g. I installed the mounts Nov. 2004 and they still feel tight.
At highway speed, I can't tell the difference between the rubber mounts or the...
