    Vibration at idle in drive

If you read the directions, Fluidamper says do not hammer damper!!! A universal harmonic balancer installer kit would have the correct adapter to thread into the crank. My damper went on very tight, If I was to use the crank bolt to pull it on I would have definitly stripped the crank.

X3 Injector problem.....I had the same problem whenever the outside temperature dipped to around 40 degrees, my first start would give me an engine miss and puffing of white smoke for about 10 seconds then it would clear up. It would do it in the morning and when I was ready to leave work. To...

The code indicates that the engine is not meeting a minimum temperature within a fixed time upon a cold start. I have always found the thermostats to be the culprit. Replace the two thermostats and you should be good to go. Newbie instruction, Follow the big black hose from the radiator back...

    Daytime running lights 96 Suburban

He is refering to the parking brake switch, there is a trick that if you wanted to turn off the DRL just apply the parking brake a couple of clicks. If the P/B was a problem then the red warning light would be on (providing the bulb is good). When you said you replaced the module, is that the...

    Vibration at idle in drive

First thing you should check is the motor mounts, See if the tabs of the shell are resting against the chassis. I have replaced many motor mounts in our former fleet of Suburbans. The rubber just doesen't hold up, and we used OEM mounts. Check you oil cooler line closely over the front...

    Stumped???

When you jumped the ECT connector, the temp should have maxed out on the hot side. It seems that you have an open circuit. When you traced the wires, did you do a continuity check from the ECT connector to the PCM on each wire?

    Primary shoe? This looks backwards.

Setting the parking brake does not adjust the shoes, applying the service brakes while backing up causes the shoes to shift which in turn allows the arm to rotate the star wheel. It called servo action.
