DIY BD1 Programming - Burn your own chips!

Your right, I can upload the fix but then there will be 3 files showing might be confusing for people. Any how here it is... changed the math it looks right for the most part and changed the kPa scaling, I was a little high sorry.

DIY BD1 Programming - Burn your own chips!

It should be a 27c512 chip. Chip orientation is kinda important, make sure the little notch in chip is facing handle when closed and the extra 2 rows of pins is between the chip and handle. Thats how it is in the burners anyhow.

DIY BD1 Programming - Burn your own chips!

just opened slims file and it looks corrupted, file size is right, but with a bunch of...oh my brain hurts kind of stuff. If you look at the file in the hex editor, you'll see what I mean, the first 2000 line or so are storage and when the chip is read, there should be a bunch of dots, unless...

DIY BD1 Programming - Burn your own chips!

I thought I put that volts to boost table in there, probably didn't though I can add it. There was a lot of tranny tables that I didn't add for that reason, but when I sit down to build another file I'll put it all in there to show what is all in there.

DIY BD1 Programming - Burn your own chips!

I think I'm gonna wind up having to build a new EC.XDF. I really don't like the way the original author put it together. To me it's confusing cause it's out of order from the disassembly I did. I can understand why it was done, the important files to be changed first, but still. I personnaly...

DIY BD1 Programming - Burn your own chips!

moates has a switchable tune adapter for our trucks, the GX adapter for 28 pin chips but its easy enough to build an adapter for 6 to 8 tunes with the bigger 32 pin chip.

DIY BD1 Programming - Burn your own chips!

There is a XDF built for the manual tranny's. Here it is... never checked it though. Post the bin file and can check it to the XDF for corrrectness.

DIY BD1 Programming - Burn your own chips!

For bin BPDP and BPAA EC.XDF is the correct one for the DTC's but I noticed right away the first table ( boost ) is in the wrong address. I can redue the XDF with the correct address and post by the end of the week. Maybe add some stuff as well that was left out .

DIY BD1 Programming - Burn your own chips!

Most of the Bin files have different addresses for tables and scalars. That's why things look funny. If the bin is posted I could tell you the differences so they can be changed. Maybe post a disassemby of if for you guys , but that will take some time . And moates.net sells the chip holder for...

    theoretical ?s about dual IPs

True .Depending on how they mounted could be a pain in the arse. Aren't they run by a single chain/belt on the tractor? Don't remember haven't seen the video in a few years.
