in IL gas vehicles only get smog checked every 2 years for 15 years after the vehicle was manufactured. but diesel vehicles have no inspections or smog checks at all. all you got to do is pay the registration fee and your good to go.
private pilot on dieselplace did a lot a reasearch about it and concluded it wasnt very safe for the 6.5. he instead decided to go with wmi. if you pm him i bet he could get you some links to look at and tell you some of the reasons as to why he decided to not use it.
i love mine. once i got used to the power and i started slowing down it did improve my mileage so now i got 17 mpg in the city. it added a lot more power and made my truck actually a blast to drive.

it would be a great turbo to run and due to the fact that the end of it isnt curved toward the intercooler like the he351 you could run it non intercooled very easily with wmi. only problem is those are expensive turbos and so is the controller

there is a ground underneath the bed close to the bumper that probably needs to be cleaned. this happened to me a few times and i cleaned the ground and all my lights started working again.
