    Bad water pump?

A well finished job. I actually finished the other day and alls well, thanks for all the input. And I think the reason the snout didn't leak first was because the fan had a blade that fell off and I guess that makes it unbalanced and the vibrations from the unbalanced fan spinning broke the...

    Air in fuel lines.

I will double check when I get some free time and take a picture, I've been very busy with work finally.

    Air in fuel lines.

Ok cool, I will get another O ring and try that out. If it is the heater, can the O ring on that be changed also? And the drain doesn't have the black plastic valve piece on this newer one I bought, it just has a stem coming out of the bottom, so I bought a on/off valve and spliced it into the hose.

    Air in fuel lines.

Ok, well then once I get some time I will run the glows that way. What should I do about the fuel filter housing leaking? The one I have on there is the second one and it leaks too. It's hard to tell exactly where it's leaking from, but I think it's more than 1 place. The one I know for sure...

    Air in fuel lines.

I see, so what makes the momentary switch open and close? I understand the power going to it but how does it know when to open and when to close? I thought that you were talking about running a switch into the cab and doing it manually with a push button type of setup ( I think Missy had...

    Air in fuel lines.

cool, is there a tutorial somewhere maybe as to what exactly needs to be done? And can I eliminate the controller switch?

    Air in fuel lines.

That sucks if the controller is bad because it's fairly new and cost like 250. I think if that's bad I will do it manually, I've been talking about that to my friend. Is it possible the wet glow is burning the fuel but the electric pump is just pushing too much fuel for the glow to keep up...

    Air in fuel lines.

I didn't see aces reply till now, but yes I thought wrong about how the glow plugs work. It might have been coincidental that when I changed the glow plug the truck started, I really don't know that was just my observation. One thing I don't understand is that my truck wouldn't start in the...

    Air in fuel lines.

The glow plug light usually comes on for about 10 seconds or so. But this morning it started but died right away (it was cold at my house and I didn't plug in block heater) then I cranked for a few seconds but it wouldn't fire so then I changed a glow plug and it worked. I have a few issues...

    Bad water pump?

actually this morning the power steering belt came off its pulley so I had to loosen the bolts then re tighten them. And the pump is leaking on the same side the PS pump is on, do you think maybe just the nuts are loose? And I'm not sure what the WP is?

I have the square filter, so I'm not sure if that's the one your referring to. The one I have doesn't require any screw.

    Bad water pump?

Today on the way home from work I noticed the coolant temp rising to 210 when on average it hangs between 190 -200. So when I got home I checked under the hood and behold, water was leaking out of the bottom of the water pump. I also noticed some oil there too. I'm not sure if the oil was...

    Air in fuel lines.

I'm having a problem with fuel leaking out of the fuel filter housing now. I'm not sure if it's from to much psi or not (I would imagine that shouldn't be the cause) but I bought another fuel filter housing and this one leaks also. At first I thought it was just some bad o rings but after...

    methonal, lye, used cooking oil?

Cool, thanks for the info. My grandpas setup is the same with the electric water heater. The only thing he said different was that he doesn't wash it, he said washing it cleans out some of the alcohol (i think he said alcohol). So he bypasses that step to get back the horse power you lose. Do...

    Air in fuel lines.

Ok, that's what it is for. I got it from o'reillys auto parts, for a 93 or 95 6.5 TD.

    Air in fuel lines.

Ya I thought it had something to do with some type of vacuum effect, unless the IP actually has enough power to draw fuel from the tank. I was thinking a little bit of both, vacuum current and IP current. I am curious though, should I have the filter before the electric pump or after? I was...

    Air in fuel lines.

Ok, I just got it finished. The mechanical pump was leaking fuel, so I guess that's where the air was coming from after sitting over night (don't understand why it worked for a few days with no problem but started getting air again). I changed the lifter pump with the other mechanical pump I had...

    Air in fuel lines.

But it went away after not driving it for a couple days. My buddys guess was maybe somehow a pocket of air got in the fuel lines, then when I went to start it of course it wouldn't start, so we would bleed the air out (maybe not all of it but enough to allow the truck to start), then it would...
