Towing long and heavy with a 6.5? Read on

If all you are looking for is downhiill decent control, in other words keeping the converter locked..... you do not need an aftermarket ECM anyway. You can make it happen with the bone stock ECM and PROM. Ask me how I know. Two pieces of wire and a switch accomplishes the same thing. How much...

    1995 Tahoe ignition switch issues

I have always heard that having a lot of key's or key rings all together on one ring will wear the switch out quicker. The extra weight, while it isn't a lot of weight, bouncing around and pulling down on the key wears it out faster. On the other hand, compare keys, maybe the one she...

Chinese made knockoff Waterpump vs GM one ??

Use the new one. The impeller is bigger, which will move more coolant.

    extra large oil filter installed.....

Yep, I agree.... 10 seconds without oil pressure multiplied by a few hundred starts is a loooong time to spin the turbo with no pressure.

    flat panel air filter

As far as flow, you would gain by going to a cone style K&N style. But....there's always a BUT..... You would lose overall because you would be sucking in the hot air from under the hood and especially hot air from the area around the turbo. IAT's go up, EGT's go up. The S&B / new heath style...

low coolant light after checking thermostats. air?

Check the lift pump.... it's on the inside of the frame on the drivers side, pretty much under the middle of the truck (from front to back). Start the truck, then open the filter drain. The filter drain hose and t-fitting should be close to the thermostat housing. With the t-valve open, you...

    New Ride

You can blow through it with the pump shut off, I checked it just for the reason you stated lol.

    New Ride

I finally got around to installing my extra fuel filter and HO lift pump a few days ago. No issues, no leaks, and the truck runs a lot better at full throttle and seems more confident, or "lighter", at cruising speeds. The pump is a diesel compatable "holley blue" style pump. It's suppose to...
