Hey, stop laughing. There is only 1 way to learn this... DO IT!!
Bigger nozzles don't plug. I have 8 .75gal/hr nozzles. Have used our water on larger (8gal/hr) nozzle with no buildup.
Just put a set of HAWK "super duty" pads on the front of my 94. New stock rotors. Definitely better stopping power than before.
My preference is bendix for brakes, but it seems we can't get them no more around here.
Plugged injectors... AGAIN. Water injectors. seems the water I been using is too hard. Calcium deposits just close the holes rite up.
I thot the last little bit it wasn't using water like it had been. Usually, I am injecting about 15gal of water for every 30gal of fuel. That of course depends...
Dude. ROADTRIP!!! You can fart around at home when you're old. Now is the time to git out and ENJOY!!
Ok. Ok. I understand. Priorities, especially with no job... I feel for ya man.
Update- the tahoe probly won't make it. But it's owner will :)
Bring camp chairs. And bottled water. I'll have a cooler, and it should have some room. Another cooler wouldn't hurt.
A tidbit of "fyi"- HAWK brake pads have the best braking of any set I've ever installed. Expensive. Paid $75 for front brake pads. But I now have brakes like this truck has NEVER had.
I will be taking my grill along. So if you wanna bring some burgers and supplies, I'll be glad to throw em on the grill for ya, and we can have us a tailgate party.
as far as I know, 6.2turbo will be there with his infamous tahoe... IF he can get the trans to hold together.
Pm me if you want...
10 second? REALLY?? Even our 6.2 stay together longer than that :)
I imagine the engine and trimmings will weigh in at similar weight as the truck body??
Keep in mind, we need the compression to efficiently burn alternative fuels at times... less than 18:1 and they start getting dirty.
otherwise, we'd take it down to around 15, or 14, and throw a set of triple turbos on, and hit the dyno!
And this... is why pics are something I really don't care to share.
I could post one of it after it is all wrapped. Hides some of the hideous redneckery that makes up the system :)
Yes, the whole system is wrapped. Manifolds, up-pipes, mount, turbo, and downpipe. Keeps heat away from critical...
Thot about selling a "kit". But the work involved, even after having all the parts... yeah. Not as easy as bolting on an att. From rerouting oil cooler lines, to drilling and tapping holes in the block to bolt the bottom part of the mount to. It is not easy. But, I like to think center mount is...
You may feel free to post pics or videos here of your setup. The more center mount setups we can git together, the more we'll convince people to ditch their stock side mount setups :)
