    hesitates under heavy load

Yeah the FFM flter was really dirty. It was really my fault I procrastinated far too long on this one. I am glad it wasn't a serious problem. I still have more stuff to do on the truck but what I'm really lacking is the amount of time too get it done. I would like a pressure gauge for the fuel...

    hesitates under heavy load

I just recently changed both my Fuel filters and the problem seems to be gone. I still need to scan it again but I'm busy with work lately so it will wait until I'm back.

Where to get new battery cables

I would go with PT wiring solutions. I bought his GP harness and I will be putting in a set of his battery cables when I get a chance.

    Here's my plan

Ok So apparently it is a case of RTFM on my part. I found a drawing in my Haynes book of all places and one over at the diesel place which kind of sorted out what I did wrong. The orange/orange black wires go to the old glow plug harness and both harness go the left lug on the controller the...

    Here's my plan

Ok so I have the new GP and harness in while I was there I changed the FFM filter and the racor 2 micron pre filter. I used a jumper to pump fuel until it came out the FFM vent. I get in the truck and go to start it. First no WTS light not that unusual after the battery has been disconnected. I...

    Here's my plan

I guess it depends on the budget you want to spend no timing chain to worry about but the extra expense is higher than replacing the chain over the life of the motor.

    Here's my plan

Well I got the GP and harness changed out finally in total time it probably took 4- 6 hours. I'm SOL with the injectors so far I can't find the socket. Tips, tricks and shortcuts for installing injectors

Well I guess having the socket first is the key. I went too all my local shops no-one has any stock. The Snap-on guy up in Nanaimo says he has oEne but it won't be here until Tues. Well I can do my GP and a few other things first. I did find a 30mm deep impact socket but I don't feel like...

Tips, tricks and shortcuts for installing injectors

Well I am about to do GP and Injectors. I am starting with the passenger side. I have the fender out, cleaned up the engine and, hosed down all bolts with penetrating oil. I'm going to leave it until tomorrow. I find the nuts come off easier with longer soak time. I am removing the turbo as this...

Where did you get the discount? and that doesn't cover brokerage fees for UPS it must be higher than that. Never mind you are talking about the fan clutch I was thinking of the water pump thanks.

FYI: Cooling upgrade - Current best buy

That's a sweet deal on that water pump I priced from my local parts store it was around 240.00 taxes in. Only thing that sucks these guys use UPS however it might still be worth it even after brokerages/fees it will be under 150.00

    Beefy starter bracket

Even if the stud broke off you could drill it out and use a nut and bolt. This is about the size that would work 3/8-16 x 1 1/4 inch.
