    Got turbo issues

I considered all options even the absurd of forking out 50k on a new rig (not possible). Why an ATA and all the complexities of fabrication and installation? Like JiFaire said it always is working and is equiped onto every late model light truck diesel produced. Dont get me wrong about...

Best advice on tig units the higher the input voltage the better! 480v will weld lower amperage better than a 220v unit, But the new 220v units are great for home use.

The project I was working on before my turbo fiasco. What you do when you have all the equipment at work and a bit of fabrication experience. I repair and build anything on wheels for a major utility in Los Angeles. I decided that I needed to add an ATA intercooler to the sub (before I new...

Wow-- good science project. didn't think a fram was that restrictive. just opened the air box and let if free air. the water level droped to about 1 1/4" or a bit above that over the water level of the container.

Blow-by test results Went out and did the blow by test as per Heath diesels blog instructions. It Passes :D . This make me feel a bit better about the blow-by smoke that I was looking at the other day. So I did a little test. If you take off the intake snorke off the turbo and let it run...

may of found the problem, I dont think my box is sealing up to well and is letting crap get sucked up in the corners. hard to tell in the pictures but the outside corners dont seam to have the same pressure as the center, couple this with off-raod jouncing it is probably letting the material...

    Suburban Rear Heat Not Working

have you checked the rear a/c blend door motors for full movement? The rear a/c unit isn't that bad to get to. the third seat has to be removed for access and then it is just removal of rear interior panels to gain access to the a/c heater unit. the two control motors as well as the blower...

    Got turbo issues

I agree, the best way I have found was to loosen the snorkle at the turbo and remove it from the box assembly. then change out the filter that way. upon further inspection this evewning, I dont think my box lid /small half is square anymore. looks to be warped a little bit on the top where the...

    Got turbo issues

just some maintenance info: I change out the air filter when I do an oil change every 3000-3500 miles (depending if the trip is in between change times) Delo 400 with an A/C delco filter. Oil is cheap engines are not! Fuel filter is every 15K Transmission is once a year coolant once a...
