    Vacuum pump pulley problem

    A better description of the alignment problem would help. Does it wobble or move in and out from the pump. Wobble can be fixed by bending the pulley. In and out would be a pump getting ready to take a dump. Ted

    Starter wires are pretty easy through the fender with the tire off and the rubber flap removed. I seem to recall the bracket bolt to the block being a 13mm bolt head. Injectors can be done only removing the turbo heat shield. The heat shield seems like a Chinese puzzle till you figure it out.

    I got my original AutoZone starter Oct 1 05, it lasted till July 11 09. It was still starting the engine but was getting slow when AutoZone replaced it. Almost 4 years, I figure, was pretty good.     Just thought I would jump in here. Got the Sportster back in 91 and eventually went dragracing. Best was 10.81 @ 120. Built a stronger motor since then. Probably around 115 hp now. Real fun street bike. Ted
