If you haven't also replaced the starter, you would be surprised how much the original has slowed down compared to fresh one. I was surprised how many problems went away after battery mod
if connector on ops and no fuel, then bypass ops and get fuel then its a bad ops. I agree that you might check fuel filter but only with reason to determine if lp is pulling excessive amperage burning out the ops contacts
newer motor and tranny, like above--motor is 3-4 and tranny is 23-3500. plus all extra goodies. I think its good deal. any mods, pmd location, F or S????? how bout some stats in signature!!!!
very nice, non-emotional, factual write-up. excellent points, thanks for posting link. looked at site---what a bigger nut---although I was almost sold with the COLOR CODED WIRING HARNESS.
PS, I never knew putting part mfg in signature meant you were a salesman. BILL HEATH------I want my cut!
do you not realize how many of us wanted a blazer??? now that you've sold it, its like the bandit without a firebird, cher after sonny hit the tree, oliver north without the contra's, stooges without curly----I gotta get a beer, handfull of quarters, and find a country music jukebox. :(
yes a pMD(pump mounted driver) will, usually with some symptoms first. was truck cutting out or dying intermittently before this? the optic filter is rectangular box with 2 connectors near the IP. can you push down on pedal and keep engine running at higher rpm's?
unfortunately just 94-95:frown5:
cheesesteak, no offense intended but-there are few people that support the 6.5, much less the older ones. and yes, most of us are defensive for the guys making good products to keep us going. This is by far the most calm, positive forum I've been on. I...
Plus a paper clip cant do anything with tranny diagnostics, slip, injector balance, seeing real-time performance.....a darn cool program-pardon my language. knowing trouble codes just beginning of helping solve problem with gmtdscan
well, theres THREE things I will tell you, I mentioned two ways to tell if there is a bad battery, and second, the electrolyte test is just a gimmie if trying to salvage a battery- there!!!!:ciappa:
two important things to remember out of this post:
1) just because top post tests good, the side post connection can be bad-or vice versa
2) even if voltage is correct, the battery can still be bad. just like a blown fuse can pass voltage but not amperage. load test is only true way to...
I appreciate your including me, unfortunately I already Have a setup, but you are right, everybody needs a way to test pressure. thanks for working on products-especially those easy to install.
standard, have not got to do feed the beast as of yet, I think 1/4". to do that mod was one reason I moved the fuel manager. Its a 3/8 T with 3/8 to 1/4 barb
did this for 25 dollars, need new pic showing cut off to gauge. did notice the lp operation causes slight gauge rattle- annoying after a while. I use this to monitor post filter pressure and lp operation idle to wot. Very impressed with numbers Heath's lp put out.
it was amazing how slow the starter got! I worked in houston for about a year and familiar with katy. my favorite route is 35 to hwy 6 to 290- nice scenery and relaxing.
I didn't have the luxury of getting it to break down somewhere nice. It was in middle of intersection right at 45 and south...
always good to see a fellow Texan, where you located? here's link to member locater if interested.

RAIN!!!! I'd be happy if someone would spit at me:D Haven't had rain for 1.5 months-corns turning early and cuc's costing money to water.
adding a little to ace's post-normally you want a good, large fan sitting in front of truck feeding it air. how old is drier? about normal non-running pressure low side should be 80. compressor will kick off at 25, normal running low side about 35-45. high side about 250-300. a lot of issues...
2-3 years of heat-bake, I personally would pull it, get a cheap heat sink and store for b/u. then buy from heath or another vendor good new pmd style like heath's. unless your around home, you never know when it could go. I would not run these engines without a b/u- cheap insurance and piece...
