gm generall only uses 2,

swapped 4 to 8 on my 94, seems to run a little lower egt than the 4, and spools a little quicker. I agree, newer design is better. fab'd new boost controller and works good.
BTW, have noticed less black smoke, see above reasons. I think I paid less than 500 from pensacola due to...
Dude, I show 25 as accelerator pedal position 2 circuit high
voltage greater than 4.75 volts for 2 secs on APP 2 sensor sets code
pedal harness is- tan is 5 volt reference, lt blue is sensor signal, ppl is ground for APP 2 sensor
should read 4.5 volts throttle closed. voltage will decrease...
I agree, 95%
was that pump only replacement?, I can understand that, but if you replaced a line or the gearbox, a little extra flow would help clear all air out, plus anything in the accumulator(and test accumulator).
----actually, turning from stop to stop and brake actuation is a good way to...
with so many overseas parts, about the only way to tell is visual or by experience. its possible to check clutch kits. my 94 took the same as a gasser, replaced last year, no difference or alignment problems.
first, need to fill in signature line of you vehicle and stats under user cp, so we know what year and configuration along with upgrades.
generally yes they take the same compressor, try this-go to one of the big auto stores online and fill in your truck info and write down compressor model...
yes, initial fill, start engine let run a minute then shut off. check level then start and turn from stop to stop. if fluid is FOAMY, let settle, check level and repeat. if its foamy you may be sucking foam into the lines. let truck sit for 1 hour then check.
next, as you know these pumps...
If you were prying, pulling, pushig, etc---you more than likely damaged one or both of the wires. I find it hard, not impossible, for the sensor to go bad at the same time.
do you have a manual to find and test wires from ecm. If the wires are already a rats nest, I would think maybe a...
wasn't sure either, I was thinking, "Hell, my dad never took me for a drive and flipped a car-did I miss out on a right of passage??" one heck of a good title. I'm looking at 200k in 7k miles.
put an afe CAI on mine. has dry filter, blow it out 2/3 time then wash it. also the CAI really lets the turbo whine out-of course it cost just over 200, but has been worth it.
aces went down the same road, when things smooth out you'll have another 6.5. Its like crack, sure you think you can quit, but its in your blood now. Have you and slim looked into putting an A-team turbo on the sidekick???:smilielol5:
not sure on 93 ecm, but is qdm or tcm matched to tranny?? besides the brake switch or tachometer, if this problem (code 68) started with the rebuild, I would think its a tranny component. again, unless you have a faulty TPS, I'm not familiar with 93 and back.
68 sets if slipping in fourth...
on autocrap gold # 4, one bearings burned out and locked up, one pully burned up and one quit charging. and all this in one year.
I found that charging problem as well. cold is 14.6, warm drops to 13.1 and under load is 12.5. BEWARE the GOLD alternators. :(
single tstat up to late 96, then gm went to duel tstat and ho water pump, pic shows single t stat on your truck. should be able to xreference number on tstat and see if it crosses to new one you have. keep single, if want to upgrade cooling, talk to heath who recommends the single.
i'm sure you know some of the 6.5's weaknesses, but to compare a NA to a turbo is faulty brain cells. the 6.2 was for mileage and it accomplished just that, 6.5 was slightly different goals.
on to the powerstrokes-most PS's I know (except 7.3) personally, have had major issues. 2- rods through...
