Yes those two diamond shapes are the Navistar symbol, near the date code on the passenger side rear looks wierd? like they added material to the block all the GEP's I have seen did not look like this.

It appears to be a newer GEP block for AM General.

I have the same set up and similar temps, and have not heard mine either(no roar) about 1200 miles since I installed, maybe its just not hot enough?

Are there dash lights while cranking? And have you checked the fuses, the big ones under the hood?

Hey Andy over at the place in the 6.5 for sale section there is a 6.5 military motor for $1500.00, looks brand new.

Just a thought, I just did the same thing and by the time I was don with motor and IP and all the extras I was about 4 grand into it.

There is a faster hotter plug the Bosch Duratherms,from rockauto there like $8 each.

Are you getting fuel out of an injector? if you crack open the #1 you should have fuel weeping out,if not I would check the Fuel shut off.

so now I am confused,I have square pre cups and had high flow oil pump?? it definately had a spacer between the pump and pick up with a long set of Gears...HHHMMMM????

Mine were square also,and the motor came from Teds.

Got a buddy with a 98 original motor last time I talked to him he had 899,000 I said yeah right and he sent me a pic of the odometer!

The spring at 2" should be about 8 to 10 pounds of boost.

Not to mention the 7.3 is an International motor!, the 6.5 is a Detroit diesel what do you see more of on the road???? that is why getting a military hummer take out motor or an optimizer is the way to go that is also an International motor!

Was it a local Chevy dealer that had those motor mounts or on the web somewhere?
