Possibly within the next two weeks. I plan to call Bill on Monday afternoon so unless he can do me a towing tune for Friday, it would have to be the Friday after that. My days off are Fri-Sat. Ed
Probably the precious metals in a catalytic convertor. I have a soot trap you can have. I may even be able to deliver it as I gotta talk to Heath about going from HP4 to a towing ATT tune.
x2 on the two stroke oil. I had a dodge camper van many years ago and I only drove it to go camping. Well I'd start it every once in a while and ran it out of gas, Not thinking I took a full 5 gallons of gas from my boat. It was a 2 stroke outboard and dumped it in the van. When it came time...
The egt's are now much lower, They were about 600 at 50mph and now they are just above 400. At 60 mph they are just under 500 whereas before they'd be about 700 if I recall. I am really looking forward to towing up the Coquihalla hill now but won't be doing that till mid April.
WoW, Just got my exhaust leak fixed. Been there for a while, If I had to guess I'd say just about 18 months or more. I kinda knew but always attributed the loudness to maybe needing the exhaust manifolds resurfaced. From what I remembered when I put the 4 inch pipe on it had a reverberation or...
That's funny, A buddy of mine is a military police officer and he was on the island and they sent him to Ottawa. He got transferred back to Esquimalt cause Ottawa was TOOOO cold.
Sorry to hear, I guess he has something about living on Islands. Oh well It'll be much cheaper to drive 220 miles to Heaths place and get him to do the tune. Best part is I should be home in time for dinner.
I don't know which engine I have L65 or L56 is but I do have a 98 dually with a Heath tune which I paid for. question is can you detune it from horsepower to something more for towing or would that be a violation of site rules. As I understand it you are only a ferry ride away and it's been a...
WoW, that totally sucks. Scary to think I turn 50 in a couple months. And I was in such a good mood since I got an email that said
Congratulations Ed

I never got any virus warning. I can see why they have rules but from what I understand PM's should be private messages or personal messages and if someone is going in there and reading them then there should be some type of disclaimer on the rules page that says they have the right to monitor...
actually the soot trap does do a thing. It plugs up over many miles. Nice to know the att does pass. I have an upcoming smog test next November. I wasn't looking 4ward to it. although I don't have heath programming for an att. I have the hp tune.
Dual alternators is probably something I could use, I have two batteries in the truck and when I tow our travel trailer there is another two batteries. I do keep those two on a trickle charger but that's not possible when coming home from boondocking. I do have a Honda generator which helps...
I have the clear park lights and marker lights. The pics aren't the best but gives ya an idea. What I notice about the clear lights is the reflective covering on traffic lights, signs ect flashes when I turn on a signal light. Also when I had led rear tail lights it flashes faster and triggers...
I would also say mount it outside the engine bay near the bumper. Sure you can mount it near the shifter. On a very hot summer day with the windows rolled up it's gonna get hot inside the truck. so much so that kids and dogs have died due to heat. Why take a chance. At least near the bumper it...
