There is a certain clearance that is supposed to be between the clutch and pulley. I don't know it off the top of my head. WarWagon or Aceneights should know. They are into A/C.
I bought the tech 1 used off craigslist. It has all the latest updates. I don't remember exactly what I paid for it but it was less than $200 for shure. Other scan tools like a snap on mt2500 or a OTC genesis will work fine on a 92-93. Newer than 93 with a diesel requires a tech 1 or tech 2 or...
My 92 in my sig would loose the throttle signal after about 7 miles. Had to shut off the engine and restart to get it working again. I drove with my tech 1 connected to find out that it was loosing the signal. I'd loose OD and lock-up when it lost the signal. My TPS checked good. It was bad...
I'd think you would be better off using engine coolant in a heat exchanger to heat the wvo. Many wvo systems heat the fuel tank. Warm fuel is much easier to pump.
I got that tip from Bobbie Martin.
If you leave it go too long it will fry the resisters for the different speeds. It usually starts out as no high speed. Makes the control go goofy also because of the lack of ground.
I have them in at least 2 trucks. No vibration problems at all. I also have the ES tranny/transfer case mounts. They are all I'll ever use. The rubber now days is crap compared to 10 years ago.
The ONLY way to get $2800 out of a truck with that much wrong is to part it out. With major tranny troubles[$1500+] and engine problems[possible ip $1000] you would be lucky to get anything over $1000.
Picture is worth a 1000 words. I have a box[5000] of the tags to mark all my parts when I junk stuff.:WTF: Now, if I only had a inventory system:mad2::D
I just junked a 97. Both doors had fallen out of the hole on the back end. There really is nothing to prevent this from happening. The next one I have to take apart to fix will have a hose clamp or something, on the shaft inside to prevent it from falling out of the case again.
With a 94 it is less likely to be the ignition switch but it is possible.
I'd start with cleaning every ground connection. The ones on the rear of the intake and engine to firewall are very important. Check all fuse connections and fuses. These things are free and should be done to eliminate...
Most auto trannys with lock-up have a fail-safe that will unlock the converter at around 5 mph if for any reason the electronics don't unlock it. A sticking TCC solenoid could do that. A scan tool should tell if the ecm is commanding TCC.
This place sells high quality kits with all the internal...
The $250 price for a new switch is accurate[guess how I know] The 97 switch should be the same. I'd swap the whole steering column. It's easier than swapping just the switch.
