If it's badger diesel there shouldn't be a problem. Several members here have bought their IP's. Anybody else on ebay I wouldn't trust for that kind of money.I believe Badger charges around $450 to rebuild a 4911 ip.Another $150 or so if the head has to be updated. Not shure of core charge.

Check voltage at the battery while cranking. Then check the voltage at the solenoid while cranking.1 volt drop would be alot. The cable is less than 2 feet. I would think 1/4 -1/2 volt drop would be acceptable. The starter solenoid s don't usually engage below 10.5 volts.
The factory battery...
I like the uniqueness of it.Not everybody is willing to take out a perfectly good engine and replace it with a different brand.
As far as a 6.2 N/A being a dog with 3.70s ,I'd have to argue that. my 91 did ok untill you hooked a trailer up. I got as high as 28mpg on a 400 mile interstate run...

Outside diameter ,measured on the lip on the front, should be 2 5/8" for diesel. Gas is 2 1/4-2 3/8".Makes a big difference on the tach and keeps the belt tensioner in the correct range.
Yep.That is correct on the date.GM sold replacemet 6.2s into the mid 90s. Then they went to 6.5 repowers they called them. Many of the replacement engine blocks were cast in Mexico.
Back to where I left off
The clutch, pressure plate and disc looked pretty good
Then put the engine on the stand. This engine has metric bellhousing bolts. The older 6.2s and 6.5s were standaed 3/8" these are M10 x 1.5.
Ancious to see the Navistar emblem cast in the valley, I removed the...
OPS different styles
Bill, I took a couple pics of the different styles of ops on the 91?-93 engines. I haven't found one of the all steel outside ones yet.The all steel is shaped similar to the second plastic one.
This is where I bought the kit that I used in my thread in the tranny section http://www.electricaladvantage.net/4l80esolenoidmasterkitwinternalharness.aspx They do sell just the individual solenoidsalso. I replaced all the electronic components for $140 including the internal wiring...
Gauge replacement with the cluster out 95-99
I had a cluster laying loose so I opened it up to see how it works. The clear cover lens is held on by the cluster mounting screws. The shroud is held on by a couple latch tabs.
Then the gauge face comes off the cluster back by prying on the top...
I don't think the NV4500 was available in half tons unless 6.5 diesel. NV3500 was common in 1/2 tons. I can post pics of the 4500 if that would help.[I have a couple laying around my shop right now]
Since I removed the connector and used a butt splice on the connection behind the glove box with the 2 wires, black and red, my gauge didn't do the exorcist:rof: The connector may look fine but can be fried inside. That black wire is the ground for the whole cluster and HVAC. The connector is...
What is the date code on the right side of the bellhousing flange? There should be a letter followed by 3 numbers.[A 01 5] A= january, 01 + first day of the month, 5= 1995
It is possible that 6.2 replacement engines were only bored to 6.2 specs. Original pistons were "Bahn"
The 95 6.5s could...
