After I get the new crank in I wanna work on my tune! I converted my truck to 5-speed. Shouldn't I need a different file to start with? Start with a manual trans file?
X2 on the "ignore 40-80hp" claims. sadly I have the 80 chip in my dually and I am in need of more fuel. I am looking into the DIY tune my self.
Hey yall...does KOJO do custom tunes or have basic tunes already set up? I cant remember!
PMDCable sells a simple and cheap 4" and supports this forum as well. I like his setup because its complete, has that offset bend that most dont, and is very easy to put on. I have been sending him customers from here local after we done my buddy's 4-door 4wd dually. Beats what I got elsewhere.
Yea and some trucks too. That rod is under the intake so be prepared for that. It has the elongated slot on the pump end and the tab for a regular tv cable on the other.
Exactly what ^^^^ said! I dont usually go this (01 reverse engineered) direction with my projects but I will explain why in the thread I will start for it. My usual is 6.x stuff and other diesels into much older trucks and a few cars. I will stay tuned to see if I can help ya when ya need it.
the older 6.2 had a rod assembly that ran from the pump lever to the tv cable bracket. About any GM trans that uses a TV cable will work with that. I have even seen 200R4s behind them.
I believe that is your communication error as well. I did the same with the one I recently built and my brakes are fine.
I had trouble between prndl switches between the 95 donor and the......wait for it....2001 truck! Still havent figured it out. You can force a shift to test. Many trans shops...
Wow that was a lot of reading! Looking to get in on this as well. I doubt I will be able to do any of this but I have a buddy that knows all that stuff y'all were talkin bout! LOL
Only one problem.....he is a 4-letter F-word guy(Ford). I explained what y'all were up to and he is in.....Because...
Yes I do. But I always yank the factory lines and use AN fittings and so on like my race cars. I do have a perfect stock crank thats well within spec. That may become my route.
I have had some serious issues with Clevite but then again the race motors require perfection in the 2 super...
Was those the cheaper line of Kings or the high end ones they sell?
You guys are probably very right but I am still torn here. I had some major issues starting a few years back. It started when I would have to buy 2 sets to make one set from for clearances. That sucked but hey I figured it...
LIke I said I was easy not flat out but every thing else is the same! Mile from home so I eased it back, it struggled and thats when I noticed oil pressure down.
Now I have an engine building buddy who just loves using used bearings in race motors! Doesn't work out well for him tho! LOL.
Using one mixed in with a different brand........would terrify me! Not saying thats what caused it but not gonna say it wasn't either!
Hey guys if the Kings aren't...
Hmm my front was fine. 2,3,and 4 are spun and #5 is rough. Ran perfect for 2 days and had great oil pressure. How were you driving when it went? I hadn't push hard on mine yet.
