When I replaced my pump, I could not believe how much crap had to be removed. There was always one more bolt or bracket that needed to be removed. I know you already said this, but double, triple check that all bolts are removed. However, your '95 might be different than my '99.
Wow! I almost forgot that I posted this.
My first two comparisons were trips from Garner, NC (just outside of Raleigh) to Gatlinburg, TN. First one with the old, stock exhaust and the second with the new warpspeed exhaust.
I calculate my mpg's with the scanguage, not with the "shut the pump...
My profession tells me that a smooth wall and rounded corners will flow better than the "bumps" left from casting and the hard corners at the transition from the upper plenum to the intake manifold. Laminar flow vs. Turbulent flow. Might make some difference.
Hope this is ok, here is a link to what you are talking about. Chrisk1500 did this mod.

Update
Just spent $100 for new LP.
Installed and truck started and runs great. Bled new filter properly and all seems well.
Wife likes the new diesel cologne :D. Even after shower.
Thanks Jifaire for your suggestions.
Todd
The reason I changed the filter to begin with is I had a small hesitation at light throttle. I thought the filter has not been replaced in a while so that must be it.
Not sure how to check the lift pump. It is making noise like it always has in the past.
Todd
I just changed out the fuel filter, like I have a half a dozen times before. I cannot get the fuel to come out of the bleeder on the fuel filter. Truck will not start.
I don't understand and it is getting late and I am stuck at the in-laws house.
Please give me some suggestions to try...
just found the owners manual. 4wd auto is for mixed driving conditions (any speed), 4-hi is for severe conditions (any speed), of course 4-lo is for pulling stumps and Fords out of ditches.
Todd
My Suburban has three separate 4 wheel drive settings. What is the max recommended speed in the 4wd auto setting? What about 4-Hi? (I realize that I do not want to use 4-Hi unless I am on lose gravel or snow, definitely not pavement.)
We just had 6-inches of snow yesterday. The primary roads...
When I put my truck in reverse and touch the "go" pedal, i get a bad vibration. Feels like something is slipping. If I ease into the accelerator, this does not happen. No problems in forward gears.
Could this be the motor mounts? The tranny was rebuilt just 25k ago. Probably not the tranny (I...
TD,
If I was to put a bypass restricter on my burb, wouldn't that give me the best of both worlds? dual t-stats w/bypass restrictor and HO waterpump? All with a clean rad of course.
Tim or Slim,
I looks like the A-team turbo "sits" closer to the battery than the stock turbo does. I have made my own intake from the stock box to the turbo with little to no room up against my battery.
I could be wrong, but looks closer to me.
Thanks,
Todd
I have been trying to chase this rabbit on my own since Father's Day. My factory radio clock resets to 1:00 almost every time I start the truck. Also, the factory CD player does not work now.
It all started when I hooked up a trailer and it blew the fuse for my brake lights and turn signals...
Acesneights1,
You saw 235 on the hills!!!! I thought that anything above 210 was bad news for the 6.5.
I pulled a car a couple of weeks ago and saw 216 and was freaking out.
Someone please set me straight.
I tried to replace the receiver dryer this past weekend and could not get one of the nuts loosened (the one going to the firewall). I tried and tried until the aluminum line split. So now I need to replace that tube!:banghead:
What is the tube called that goes from the receiver dryer thru the...
