After some wrenching, far above my comfort zone, I have taken care of two codes (P0251 & P0370). However, I now have code P0335 (Crankshaft Position Sensor).
I replaced the sensor with a dealer AC Delco one and had the same code. I convinced the dealer that I had a "bad" sensor and replaced it...
I just performed the KOKO and the 2000 RPM test.
KOKO test - no change - I idled and drove until temp was over 170 degrees - no change, codes still present and no power.
2000 RPM Test - seemed to pass the test without hesitation of "jumping" of the throttle.
From my original post, it does sound like I just threw parts at it hoping that would fix it. That is not the case. When I first started getting the codes, the truck would still run normal and the codes would not clear with my Scanguage. (the codes would clear for less than a second and come...
Please help, I am at my whit's end!!
This has been a 6-7 month ordeal. I am getting codes P0251 and P0370. The truck has no power (NONE whatsoever). It barely will come off idle.
I have performed the following to fix the problem.
1. checked all grounds, cleaned grounds and even replaced a...
I'm having issues with my suburban (Big Girl). I have been on the phone many times with Bill Heath from Heath Diesel. My next step is to get a high end scan tool to set the timing.
Does anyone in the Raleigh, NC area have a scan tool that I could use?
Thank you,
Todd
Yes, 245 is the width (in mm, divide by 25.4 to get inches), but the 75 is a percent of the width. 75% of 245 is about 184mm. This 184 is the height of the wall of the tire (from the rim to the road) and the 16 is the diam of the rim.
So the 245/75-16 tire is about 30.5 inches tall and 9.6...
Does anyone know what size swaybar I have in my Burban? I need to replace the end link and thought I might as well replace the parts holding it to the frame (probably original). I am looking around to order them and find out there are two different sizes, 30mm and 32mm.
I don't have a caliper...
Thanks Will.
I have checked those already. It was my first thought as well. I do plan on replacing them with brass in near future. I did replace them a few years ago with plastic fittings.

It appears the old girl has a leak in one or both of the heater hoses that run between the engine and firewall. I have rear heat in my '99 Suburban.
They need to be replaced. Any advice or tips?
I will not get a chance to crawl under the truck until Saturday, but I assume it is pretty straight...
My parents are stranded along I-95 in Lumberton, NC.
Does anyone know where/if I can get a water pump for a Cat C-7 in the Raleigh, NC area?
Thanks,
Todd
Mine is 3/4" now all the way to the tee. The tees that I have, have no restricters in them. I installed them in 2009 and never had any heat issues (balance front to rear).
I saw in your response to my same post in another thread.
**UPDATE**
Big Girl is running again!!
I checked for ground issues. Didn't see any. I removed the upper plenum and unplugged the Optic Sensor. No start. Plugged in optic sensor and tried my old PMD in the original plug. No start. When I went to plug in the PMD wire extension into the original...
ok, thanks for the input.
will try Jifaire suggestions sometime tomorrow.
I really doubt gas was pumped in it. My wife did get some fuel last night, but then had to drive another 12 miles home. Any gas in the tank would have made it to the IP by then.
I think it is a fuel problem also...
Ok, I tried the old PMD connected to the Heath extension harness. I did not have time to take off the upper plenum and connect to the original PMD connection.
Still no start. I am not sure if the old PMD is good or not.
