What you describe sounds just like after I messed up the passlock in my wife's 99 burb when I was doing the remote start install. You may try disconnecting both batteries for a period of time and reconnecting - in an attempt to reset the passlock.
M1009 came with the G80 in the rear - 10 bolt
Personally i have been very happy with the G80 in my 1009, and in my wifes burb... really wish my burb had it! Makes plowing suck with it compared to the ole trusty 1009....
Also, 1/2 ton 4x4 burbs had the semi floating rear, 3/4 had the full...
Pretty sure TD's Burb is a 2wd with 3.42 gears. That sure helps the fuel mileage!!
I wish I could get close with either of mine, but with one in need of injectors, and the other an IP... I am lucky to get 16/14 out of them.....
Oops I missed the part about an orifice in them. Also didnt see something like that in mine. My rear heat seems to work ok so far... but then again, I only replaced one Tee...
I walked into either NAPA or Autozone and bought a heater hose T that worked just fine for mine. Just need to know what size hose you are dealing with.
I had one of my switches start smoking once. That incident has encouraged me to keep a small fire extinguisher in all our vehicles now - within handy reach of the driver. (wifes is on the center hump - havent decided where mine shall live in the burb yet)
I need to try a timbren kit in mine
as for ballast... not sure how much is really needed in a suburban :-)
Not to mention, by the time i add my tools I keep in it, and such, its probably enough.

You could do something like I did in my wifes Burb...
Its a full on windows computer - check out www.centrafuse.com for the front end software that I am using now - it handles nav, mp3, video, etc (including bluetooth phone management)
Looking through the Fisher documentation (as I just put my MM1 on the other night) there was 5 pump styles for the MM1. They can be seen here - http://library.fisherplows.com/publications.asp?cat=248
Mine has the SEHP (solenoid electric hydraulic pak) For the most part, I prefer it -...
I have the same thing. I think I have it set to turn on about 4am, off at 11am. When I leave in the morning, I move the cord from my truck to hers, so hers warms up too. If she doesnt leave by 11, she usually isnt going anywhere anyway. Works really well for us.
I put a full out remote start system in my wifes 99 Burb a couple years ago. Wasnt too bad of a project, I just wish I had better wiring diagrams of what was needed for it when I did the project, as i missed an ignition wire. Now when you remote start it, the headlight buzzer runs until you...
Ok, so I stand corrected, it is the 246. RPO NP8.
I dont really understand why it was considered 'weaker' though. I thought it was the same case as the 241, with a modification to allow the 'auto/full time' For the record, our 99 is a 3/4 ton as well. A 'heavy' 3/4 at that, as it has the...
