    88GMCtruck's 99 6.5L Towpig slow build.

If you look at his original thread on the mirrors - the diodes are used to allow the LED's to be lit with the parking lights, and then blink with the respective signal. Much like the side markers on the front of the truck. I do wonder why not just feed the LEDs on the mirror from said side...

I guess I never realized they didnt dim. so did you put the diodes right in the door to manage the signal/parking light?

Why is there a parking light wire already in the door? Looks great btw!! I am seriously considering getting a set for my burbs now!

    Greetings...and problems...

I think buddy was suggesting connecting your voltmeter from pin G to ground, and monitoring for voltage. It should indicate the OPS function with respect to the lift pump. I think Mudbath posted the link to reference which pin G was.

Not sure how it is in the 94's, but I know the bench in our 99 is almost every bit as comfortable as the buckets in the 95.

    Greetings...and problems...

And this from someone who claims to not be very mechanically handy!! Great job! As for the front jump seat - maybe look for a front bench to replace the buckets?

    Greetings...and problems...

Andy - if you cant get the fitting out, let me know. I am about 90% sure I have another housing kicking around from my engine swap. Glad to see you are figuring things out. Now if only you could find a jump seat for the back to fit all your kids in it!!! You really should have looked for a...

6.5 DIESEL TURBO decals on hood

Our 99 had the decals when we got it. Too bad they were pealing and already missing letters (and the wife really didnt like them anyway) I have debated replacing them... at least for my 95.

    The "restification" of a 98 6.5 TD...

FYI - that fold down adapter will 'rattle' some. I used to have one, but it was really annoying. I used to have it on a mirror mount. Not sure how it will be with the roof mount.

Another HID light post for 6.5's Make your truck look like it has factory fog lights.

How do you adjust them to get the beam where you really want it?

My 1009 is about unstoppable while plowing - wishing I left the plow on that instead. Love that short wheelbase!

    finally scored a diesel Suburban!

I couldnt agree more on the locker - after plowing this winter for the first time without one ( the 95 Burb ) its been hell! I am looking at a Lok-Rite or Powertrax. Even considered one for the front!

    88gmctruck's 1999 K2500 L65 cranks but doesn't start.

Take a look at the attached diagnostic flow chart. It might help. I can dig more out of the factory manual if need be.

    88gmctruck's 1999 K2500 L65 cranks but doesn't start.

Crazy question - you said you checked under the hood fuses... but what about the ones in the dash?

    88gmctruck's 1999 K2500 L65 cranks but doesn't start.

Another thought - have you verified that you dont have an aftermarket security system (or remote start) installed? Oddly our 99 had previously had a remote start in it that had been removed. When I installed the one we have now, I had found that someone had already cut & spliced the passlock...

    88gmctruck's 1999 K2500 L65 cranks but doesn't start.

I just went out in the cold and verified that on our 99 Burb, the Security light goes out in about 4-5 seconds.
