They are just your basic standard injector body with the marine nozzles installed in them, like the ones that you showed minus the orange band. I'm not sure but I think that all the bodies are all the same. I don't remember how they came packaged but they were not in toilet or paper towel rolls...
Hey Guys,
I had purchased a set of so called marine injectors when I first purchased my truck about five years ago from a less than reputable internet dealer and what I got was a mixed bag of injectors. After they failed terribly I proceeded to take them apart and this is what I found. Some...
So I did find what I needed. I went with the Roadmaster setup. I got an EZ Dumper sitting in the truck right now, not bolted in yet though. I also got a new st of Bilstein's along with a new set of tires, 285/55
r16's. I haven't been able to install anything yet except for the tires due to an...
Hey, thanks all for the quick reply's. Yes It is a 6.5 and I seem to find all the answers that I need in this forum even though some aren't related to a 6.5. I have BFG A/T's on there now and I can't stand them, well let me put it this way, I like them for the highway but in the snow they are...
So my 1996 K2500 SRW 5spd needs new tires. I see some post's on what I'm looking for but not exactly or they just haven't answered all of my questions. I have the stock 245/75r16's on there now and I want to go bigger, mostly because I have 4:10 gears and at 70mph I'm at 2500 rpm. I don't do...
Hi All,
First let me tell you what I have for a vehicle, 1996 K2500 6.5 TD 14 bolt F/F with 8 lugs. the leafs that I have on there now are 5+1 and are stock as far as I know and the vehicle is rated 9000 GVW. I thought that I would ask this question here as I know there is a ton:hihi: of...
I'm not sure about that, really I have no clue. If you go ont the S/B site and look athe clutch for the 01-06 6.6 that is what my disk looks like for the springs and isolators.
So I went onto the S/B and LUK sites today and those disks look nothing like what I have in my truck. Mine has, I believe because it has been a couple of years since install, two springs and the rest being isolators (I found the correct terms for what I was calling dampers) three or four. I was...
Here's a link to an older article I found that somewhat explains the DM operation and such.
http://www.brakeandfrontend.com/Article/38790/Dual_Mass_.aspx
which brand clutch are we talking about? The S/B that I have dosen't have springs it has dampers and if I remember correctly ther is only three or four of those.
I think you may reading too much into the theory of how this setup works. The springs that we are talking about are in the dual mass flywheel and when you switch to single mass you now have a solid flywheel, no springs = no dampening. I believe that harmonics has nothing to do with this...
As far as I know all SM have the damper whether it be a 6.2 or 6.5. I'm sure that what the Zoom tech said is true for handeling the extra power but that isn't what the question was. To be on the safe side I'll say they have the damper for both human and mechanical because I just don't know. I do...
Well the book says it should be there. Don't forget that when switching from the dual mass that there is no more dampening with the lack of springs that were there. The dual mass was setup to absorb the diesel spikes that get sent in to the drive line but this style clutch, I fell was a poor...
Hey, thanks for the welcome, I post on some of the other 6.5 sites around but I just recently came across this site and there seems to be a lot more enthusiasm here. When I first got my truck it was all stock and I soon learned the wonderful world of working on 6.5's. As you can see I've only...
I have the South Bend in my truck and guess what? Stamped right on the disk is LUK. I put the performance one in mine and has been in the truck for about 2 years now. I did notice one thing with the SB clutch though, it is either engaged or not engaged. for mine there was no middle of the road...
Hi All,
First time poster long time lurker. Iknow this is an old thread but as a new member I just came across it. I just installed a circulating heater the way 94k30 pointed out. It was a very easy install but.............. I can't seem to get it to reverse flow through the heater core. I...
