I made a couple of videos the other day of how the truck runs on the highway. Here's one for now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38QLoWeodlw&feature=youtube_gdata_player
So let me tell you what my EGT'S are, while cruising on the highway at 70mph with the rpm's at about 2200_2300 I am running 800 degrees, if I go up a slight grade the temp rises to 900 or more depending on how big of a grade it is. If I try to go up any large grade the EGT'S are through the...
So I have timed the truck and it was right where it should be but no luck getting my EGT'S down yet. The turbo is making normal boost, 1.5-2 psi cruising on the highway and under throttle I've hit 10 psi only to be limited by EGT'S. I'll have some more info soon.
So the turbo did show up on Thursday around 4:30pm and I ended up the install around 10:30pm, not too bad considering I had to pack everything up for a while for some thunderstorms that rolled through. I still have some final adjusting to do now that I have a couple of days driving on but...
HA HA HA, tin snips to trim silicone hose:hihi: Hey wait a second, I used new set of pruning shears I had laying around:rof: but all in all a pretty good fit, I'll have to get some pics of mine posted up too.
I got the toughest part of the job done this morning and the truck fired up. Boy the older I get the harder the jobs become, seems like it took me forever and it whooped me. So new chain, water pump, fan and clutch, p/s pump, upper lower hoses, cp sensor, thermostat, heater hose nipple and a...
So I'm about half way done with the job, couldn't work on it Monday there was way too much rain all day. I got the front end torn down and cleaned up and pretty much buttoned back up. Just got to put the drivers side bracket back on but that will be tomorrow as I'm going to replace the power...
I'm doing mine now. I'm using a 5/8 nipple x 1/2 pipe thread. Most of your auto parts stores carry them. When I went to take to old one out it snapped off clean with the housing, a chisel and a couple of hours later I got what was left out of the housing but I had figured that would happen.
Yes I a going to replace the CPS, I can pick one up at my local NAPA and with my discount it should be cheaper than RA. I know that my truck is pretty good off the line or was, now it's a dog with the failing turbo and being a 5spd I can pretty much shift where I want. As far as the upper rpm...
So it's been awhile since I last posted on this but now since the turbo that is on there now is degrading more and more with time I just placed my order for an ATT with the new hose design, should be here around mid week. As far as this coming week goes I have my work cutout for me. On Monday...
The more I think about it the more I'm thinking that your master has an internal leak. Another thing to take into consideration is the flywheel thickness, if it has been surfaced a couple of times it could be you're not getting enough throw to fully disengage the clutch. I wonder if there is a...
So I guess you should be able to pull that tranny out like a nascar pit crew now, in record time. At this point I'm thinking it might be air bound or another bad master. When the clutch catches where does it catch, top or bottom?
I came across this from Centerforce, it's one of there inserts to make sure that you install the throwout bearing correctly http://www.centerforce.com/mediafiles/I93GM001.pdf and my other question is, why have you replaced the master and slave cylinder three times? The p/n that you listed for...
For the throttle Issue I would look at the throttle pedal assy itself as it is a fly by wire system, when they go bad they seem to do what what you described. I know for a new throttle pedal they are big bucks but I'm sure you could find a good used one on the cheap.
For the clutch, do you...
